Course Curriculum Overview
As I took political science as my path, it's very highly relevant as it provides critical thinking and analytical skills, understanding regional as well as global issues. A degree in political science opens pathways in government, law and international relations. Exams in university happen in 6 months every time we don't face any difficulty as we face enough time for preparation. The area of improvement in the course curriculum and teaching methods is that it should focus more on practical aspects not only in classroom teaching, there should be some outreach programs for better understanding.
Fees and Financial Aid
During admission time we have to pay a total of 5000 and it may be different for another science department as they have to pay for lab fees and every semester we have to pay 3800 as a semester fee. But we do need not to pay the exam fee as it was already taken during the admission time along with the 5000.
Campus Life
My campus life is a vibrant and multifaceted experience that significantly contributes to social development and personal growth. Various Conferences are happening such as the NEIPSA 23rd conference, and then every month a study circle happens where interested students from every department come and discuss significant topics. Digital classrooms are provided to students for their better understanding. Various books, journals, articles, newspapers and the free wifi provided by the campus. Extracurricular activities are also provided by campus both indoor and outdoor activities.
Admission
For an MA in political science, you have to complete the bachelor's degree with a minimum of 55 per cent. The admission process happened in two ways 1. You have to sit for the entrance exam under Cuet 2. There is also non-cuet admission that happens based on the merits of the students. Reservation benefits are also there, especially for ST, SC and OBC. During the time of admission, there is document verification where you have to bring your original documents along with the Xerox copy after verification admission happens there is no difficulty during admissions.
Faculty
There are a total of 5 professors in the political science department all of them have a doctorate. In a day we have 4 classes and it happens regularly. After discussing a particular topic there is always a questionnaire session that happens where teachers interact with us. It's seen that interaction between teachers and students happens very often as they always try to help us out.
