Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I choose the subject sociology because I believe that in order to be a good individual or a good person, one should be aware of his or her surroundings, the society one lives in. Studying sociology has made understanding society much easier. In class we learnt theories about society how organizations are formed the fall of organisations, etc and by understanding the theory, we can easily apply it in the social world. Exams are conducted twice a year- pre-end exam and final exam. The questions are not too tough and not too easy. I should say its moderate.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college is a private property and hence the cost of the courses is higher then other collages in our area. Besides the course fees, other fees like examination fee, form fees, scholarship fees are to be paid. There is only one scholarship per year and with the course of the fees, it is insufficient for the students. I haven't heard of any other employment recuitment screening in the college.

Campus Life

4.5

Republic day on the 26th of January and Independence day on 15th August are held annually. The first Cultural event was held on 26 April 2024 which provide a platform for inter college competitions like dance, singinging, skit, etc. Other events like World Mental Health Day, World Aids day, World Water day, Environment Day, etc are also observed by the college annually. Computer courses are also available in the college. Recently, a 5 days computer python course in collaboration with NEILIT was conducted. The teachers prescribed books are all available in the library and we can borrow it anytime we want. Inter semester sports are held sometimes. Students run the annual college magazine. The magazine provide a platform for brilliant students in the field of poetry, story writing, photography and etc.

Admission

There was no entrance exam. However, there was an interview after the submission of the admission form. Exams are conducted twice a year- pre-end exam and final exam. The questions were moderate, not too easy or difficult. I don't think there is a need for improvement in the admission process.

The teachers are highly educated and are able to explain and clarify the doubts of the students in detail. The teachers provided the students with study materials which greatly helps the study in enhancing their knowledge. The teachers are professional and are not biased and does not have favoritism. The teachers are present in campus during office hours and students can easily approach them in times of having doubts.I believe that a friendly teacher can help the students in gaining knowledge and helping them build up confidence both inside and outside the classroom. The teachers teach using shared screens and provide study materials for the topic to be studied beforehand which helps the students to go through the study materials and have insights about the topic to be studied before class.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose to study History mainly because of my interest in history, and also for competitive exams. The faculty environment was notably dynamic, and I encountered some fascinating peers within my department. Surprisingly, class attendance were consistently high, fostering a mild sense of competition amongs students. Though I can't recall exact student count, it was likely over 45 students but only 10 students remains after 4th semester when we had to choose for honors subject. Teaching staff were all supportive and ready to help whenever we faced any difficulties in subject. Regular test were conducted but the main exam held twice a year.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had no specific course set in my at that moment but out of all, English seemed quite well-performing department among other departments. Plus it was not too difficult to start with as English was a common subject and we were used to it. The classroom buildings were not too good but it was manageable. At first day the classroom seemed small and wasn't able to fit in all of the students, but gradually the attendance kept decreasing which is a common thing and now only 60 of us are attending the classes. The teachers are well qualified with a Doctorate qualification and I don't have anything bad to say about them. Their teaching methods are easy to understand, and they're punctual; they don't usually skip classes. The exams on the other hand was the most disappointing thing about this college. Every exams were delayed atleast 2 months, and due to that out classes always started later than other colleges. The difficulty level is moderate but more than 50% students didn't manage to pass.
