A short detailed review on Imphal College History Department.

I choose to study History mainly because of my interest in history, and also for competitive exams. The faculty environment was notably dynamic, and I encountered some fascinating peers within my department. Surprisingly, class attendance were consistently high, fostering a mild sense of competition amongs students. Though I can't recall exact student count, it was likely over 45 students but only 10 students remains after 4th semester when we had to choose for honors subject. Teaching staff were all supportive and ready to help whenever we faced any difficulties in subject. Regular test were conducted but the main exam held twice a year.

The expenses involved pursuing graduation at Imphal college are remarkably economical. For Arts, Admission costs mere RS.3500, and For science it costs around rs.4500. For semester form fill fee costs only rs 1200, for science RS.1400. Considering all the expenses cumulatively, Any family from any background can afford it comfortably. Additionally, we also get scholarship for students belonging to SC,ST, and OBC. Including hostel fee, we get like Rs.11000 per year.

Every year, college organizes annual events such as Annual Sports, Teachers day, Foundation day celebration, and Freshers meet. I believe Foundation day, and freshers meet are held in August, September. Additionally, there are club activities like NSS,NCC,Eco Club etc. are also available. The presence of books available in the library was extensive, and proved to be beneficial.

The admission process commences by applying for an entrance exam which is conducted offline. Upon selection, we proceed with the admission process. To complete the admission, we fill out the admission form, and receive a challan from the clerk for payment through the bank. We get a receipt from the bank, we then have to submit again to the clerk. The admission is vary subject to subject but my admission for BA History Honors cost around Rs 3500. I also got a researvation seats in OBS reservation. So, the overall admission process is very simple. I personally don't want any changes in the admission process.
