What Students Say

Likes

The faculty members were excellent , and the amount of hard work they put in to make us understand topics are awesome
Seminars and workshops are conducted time and again regarding jobs and future endeavours
lot's of events that go hand in hand with academic sessions making college exciting.

Dislikes

the Campus of Humanities department is quite small
wifi is not functional and cannot be used
other than that the college has no other things that i disliked

Course Curriculum Overview

It follows the NEP , so we have various subjects outside of the bcom spectrum and it might be seen as useless for the students but it makes our base stronger and helps us deal with lot's of things , it will be useful for us in the future.

Class Size: 30Course Fees: INR 600000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

B com courses are 60k per year and if you are from northeast india you get some discount on the fees , if you're a sikkim subject holder you get more discount and there is sikkim quota as welll which makes the fees very affordable for the students of sikkim .

Campus Life

Aura is an annual cultural fest usually takes place in the months of oct-spet which is an inter departmental competition Hustle is the sports event . there is a college library for every department with books focused on their sibiects there are various groups and clubs in the college

Admission

The eligibility of the course is min 50% on any streams. you can do your admissions directly from the official website of SMU or visit the campus located in 5th Mile , Tadong , Gangtok. Exams are frequent and helps us not forget the concepts easily.

The teaching learning process is very interactive with the use of case studies and practical examples , the faculty member are PHD holders and well qualified for their field , with lots of experience.

I choose this course to become CA. Students ratio is more than 5000 students.teaching method are average. Term exams are very tough . Term exam are held in very short period of time which cause problems beacuse we don't get enough time to study.
