What Students Say

Likes

1st year Hostel rooms were nice , it had clean bathrooms mostly
Classes are done in a good and strict manner
Colloge have 24*7 electricity and water supply

Dislikes

Not every faculty and staff is good and friendly, some are rude and mean.
Food in hostel is below average , it doesn't have good taste
Some Teachers are racist and ill minded . And some HODs are hot minded .

Course Curriculum Overview

As of me the course i studied is civil engineering and the course really helped me alot . It cleared the basics first and made me understand the other espects of the course . It can be improved if they can make the things more interesting rather than teaching in orthodox methods .

Class Size: 200Course Fees: INR 1500 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fee is not much here , you only deposit money during semesters and readmission . Scholarships are available to socially backward castes whose yearly income is below 3lakhs and single girl childs . But general category students don't get any.

Campus Life

Campus life is mosly spent in academics, not more of functions or welcome parties. Yearly sports day is held and all the national holidays are celebrated including the pujas and all. There is also NCC for the students, Library.

Admission

It can be applied after 10th or 12th . It has a three year course and is selected through marks in 10 th class . Different branch have different cutoffs and the application process is done is SAMS website after that cut offs are set and students are selected. There are also reserved seats for st/sc ,obc and single girl child also for ex army and many more.

Faculty

The faculty to students ratio in the collage is good . Faculties are highly educated and talented people but some are just ill natured or angry . But most of the teachers are friendly and help students and interact with them as much as possible.

The view about the college

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester and 6th semester students became eligible for campus placement. The name of company are JSW , IMFA , ADITYA BIRLA , JSL etc company are visited. The highest package is 25,000 thousand and avarage package is 12,000 thousand per company. My plans after getting the degree is preparing the junior mining inspector.

I love my college

Placement Experience:

does not have proper playground for outdoor games ,except this it has all the necessary facilities. Classrooms, laboratories, libraries ans sports arena are all air conditioned and well maintained. The quality of placements at our college is not so good. The percentage of students placed every year is quite less. The salary package offered to bcom graduates were not so good. In recent time due covid 19 we were unable to attend the placement cell.

Experience in BHUBANANANDA ORISSA SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING

Though it's a top 1 government college it's cut-off is at peak. There's are many courses like -Civil engineering, Mechanical engineering ,Electrical engineering, Computer science engineering,Electronics engineering, Applied electronics engineering, Automobile Engineering.
