Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

In our college, we always work like professionals. And also our teachers do the same thing Which will help us in the future, which find it a good thing to work on. And the course is really hard, only people who think they are ready to face it can take the course, I tell you this because we have to work and think like professionals on a daily basis and we have to work every day.

Fees and Financial Aid

And about the fees, specially in our college it is really less compared to other Colleges. I guess Bearys Mangalore College is the only one which has lower fees. And they are always supportive of the financial system. It depends on person to person but on average we need to have 500rs per week which is more than enough for a student. And we have many scholarships like NSP, SSP, VIDYALAKSHMI and also we have ARIVU LOAN.

Campus Life

4

In architecture, we have many functions and trips to different places. Every semester of the year we have gone to different places. In architecture, we have a national function where we get to many other students from different colleges and different places. In the architecture course, we really have a great opportunity to explore many other things and another person's perspective. And our College is one of the best in Karnataka I guess because very eco-friendly campus. And the overall experience is better in monsoon.

Admission

we need to take science and we should score at least 60% in 12th. After the 12th we need to take an entrance exam which is called as NATA National Aptitude Test of Architectures, in that test we need to score at least 75 out of 200 to qualify to be approved for the architecture course. And we 3 phrase to attend the entrance exam in a year. After that, it is easy to get admission to any college based on the marks you have scored.

Faculty

4

The faculty-to-student ratio is good it is almost like 1:15. The teachers are very nice to us and they also work and treat us like professionals which I find good. We can get any help from our teachers at any time, as they are always ready to help us.

Placement Experience:

Architecture is completely a solo thinking work we can work in groups as well but if a structure is designed by a single architect then it has a taste of that particular person but if its a group then all will be mixed and have different kind of brains giving different ideas soo an individual can manage even if he doesnt get a placement

Course Curriculum Overview:

You'll indulge in a lot of painting and are related stuff. Well since Architecture is not only about art, there are subjects which will use up your brain cells. You also get to go to study trips too! The ride is not smooth- everyday would be a submission day , everyday would be a love-hate relationship with the course. Internal reviews, external reviews, viva and jury, presentation and assignments, written exams...theyre enough to keep you busy throughout. Since its Affiliated to vtu, the system does seem not so updated to date. You cannot expect to have a month of holidays after each Semester too. Dont dream of having a pleasant vacation break.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is more condensed that other colleges', so it makes it easier to tackle multiple things at once. The course prepares us for real world applications through their dual internship program, which is a strong point in their curriculum. If the course in itself had more real world applications, instead of very superficial ideas, it would be more helpful The exams are a hurdle, but it comes with the rigor of the course, and it is something students end up adapting to over the course of 5 years.

Course Curriculum Overview:

If you check with other colleges the approach to the curriculum is different and more fun. The process of learning is more fun and appealing making us satisfied of what we have done at the end. Sometimes we don't get how the teachers are expecting us to do our assignments but we figure it out some how. Exams happen twice a semester (mid-sem and end-sem).

Since our HOD changed this year, I'm not sire about when the placements are available, most probably would be for the 5th year students so 9th sem onwards. Not sur3 about which companies either, highest package would be 8000 I'm guessing, we don't get paid much. My plan is to switch courses, this was absolutely useless to me :)
