Bachleor in computer science and engineering is one of the compelling courses in mathematical + computer degree. It basically gives you insight what is science behind how computer works and programming. All fundamental subjects are thoroughlt taught here in university

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 90000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Paypal, Toddle, TVS, Mahindra, linkedin, samsung stipend for internship- least is 20k and highest is 60k for 6-8 months with bond of 1-2 year. Attached with package- 4-30 lakh (average would be 10 lakh).

Placement Experience

After 5th semester, Companies started coming and it may offering till the last semester. Paypal, Toddle, TVS, Mahindra, LG and many more comapnies visited in a single semester which offered 10-30 lakhs and some companies which also offering 4-8 lakhs which actually took some of the students as compared to high package companies.

Fees and Financial Aid

90,000 was my fee throughout 2021-2025 but its increasing for new admission by 5-10%. As of now its 1,20,000. Scholarship is awarded on the basis of cucet. even 100% scholarship provided by university. they also provide good scholarship according to 12th marks.

Campus Life

Campus life, Social club involvement and infrastructure is one of the best out there definitely. Students those who are highly motivated in entertainment and extracurricular activities may find this university pleasing.

Admission

CUCET is must to give for admission and it can be easily available on their cuchd website according to your aspired course. Difficulty level is medium-hard. it is made such that most of the student may not get 80+ marks and 90+ is very hard to go for.

Faculty

35 students to 1 assistant professor per subject. You may contact with anytime per your need for coaching and advice. For Project students each student is scheduled to meet their respective specialtist teacher.

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

From the second year itself students are eligible for campus placements and the companies right now visited are more than 80 + like Amazon Google Microsoft etc the highest package right now in our college 2.5 crore right now as a fresher more than 80% are getting placements which I can I can see and many used to start they own startups and get success in their field as help you teachers them and give them opportunity to learn and do startups and my plan after getting a degree is if you get a placement and huge packages and get a experience from them and to start my own business

My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

I didn't apply to any other college. I chose it because it was close to my home. The admission process to give CUCAT exam for which the fees is 1000 rupees. The passing marks are 40 out of 100.
