What Students Say

Likes

Infrastructure is great and better than other colleges of IPU.
Crowd is also great and also amongst the best in the university.
Connectivity is great, there are two metro stations nearby.

Dislikes

Timetable is awful, timings and number of lecture changes everyday.
Small campus are, it gets quite crowded.
Placement opportunities can be improved.

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum is same as other collegs of IPU. It is not entirely up to date, subjects like sql and python for data anlysis should be added to the course. Exams take place in every semeseter, difficulty level is moderate ie not to tough but not as easy as exams of private university.

Internships Opportunities

There are good amount of internship opportunity in the college. Many students get internship from college itself mostly in startup, usually paid. Stipend is mostly below 10000. Every kind of role is offered.

Placement Experience

Final students arre eligiblibe for placements. Placements are below average in the college, most of the companies that visit the campus are small startups visit the campus. Very few big comapnies visit the college out of which majority are banks. Average salary would be around 400000 and highest is around 700000. I would go for an MBA after the graduation.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees was increased one year ago. Complete cost of the degree is close to 350000 and yearly cost is 110000-120000. There are not many scholorships provided by the college. I have not taken any sort of campus employment yet.

Campus Life

Fest are good, Parmish Verma visited the campus in last fest. Every class has projectors. Sports facilities are not the best apart from the basketball court. There are many clubs in the college, ecnomics, movie, finance, singing etc every kind of club is present.

Admission

There is no such eligibility for the course one just has to score 50-55% in class 12 board and get in the college after giving entrance exam. Application form is quite confusing with preference list and everything, one has to pay 40k to book the seat in the college.

Faculty

Faculty is decent, it is not too bad are neither too good. Although most of them are well qualified and approachable. Most of them provide important question and online material for both internal and external exams.

Best college of DU

Placement Experience:

The most amazing thing at our college is its placements. We have top companies at our college like mckinsey, bain, deshaw coming at our campus to hire students offering packages ranging from 8lpa to 25 lpa, which is commendable. Almost 80-90% students at our college get placed each year.

Placement Experience:

The highest package of my college is 36 lakh per annum from bcom H programme. The placement is very nice from my collegem the average package is 6.7 lakh per annum and the median package is around 8 lakh per annum which is very good in my views. But if the students is not focusing in his academic then no college can give him placement, it's just a exception. The students become elegible for placements after 2nd year and before 3rd year basically they just got PPO that is preplacement offer. Bain & co. , de shaw , Accenture , oyo, Swiggy. I have a plan of Doing MBA after doing Bcom H form hansraj college

Placement Experience:

The placements at hansraj college are impressive and beats 99% of the colleges. The highest placements go to 25lpa and average being 8lpa. Students can enroll into internships starting from the 3rd year onwards. Many big names like amazon, bcg etc come at our campus for hiring. I myself am planning to sit for placements

Truth

Placement Experience:

Students wil brcome eiligible for interships from first year or after seocnd semester. The placaments is nice and the averge package is around 600000. And last year two students got internships from de shaw and accenture for 90000 and 60000. So the internships is good. The highest package is 36 lakh from hansraj. I dont know about the percenateg of students getting placements. My plans after getting placements is nothing because currently i m doing CA which is sufficient for me for my placement.

Placement Experience:

College placements are available from 3rd year starting onwards. Many big and reputed brands like bain and accenture visit our campus. The highest package goes around 25 lpa with average being 7-8 lpa. Almost 90% of the students get placed which is quite a commendable achievement.

Hansraj college- My heart

Placement Experience:

Studente become eligible for college placements starting from 5th semester, ie, 3rd year. Top companies like mckinsey, bcg, deshaw worship the students of hansraj college!! The highest package was 24 lpa which is top tier for a bcom college and average goes around 7-8 lpa, which is again very impressive.

Great Academics but Costly and Competitive

Course Curriculum Overview:

The B.Com (Hons) curriculum at Hansraj College under the DU UGCF framework is quite relevant and comprehensive because it covers core areas like accounting, finance, taxation, economics, business law and quantitative techniques across six semesters. These subjects were a major reason for choosing this course, as they directly link with careers such as CA, CFA, MBA and corporate finance, and also provide a strong base for further academic pursuits like M.Com or research. The structure balances theory with practical learning through tutorials, projects, presentations and case-based discussions, which helps in understanding real-world applications such as financial statement analysis, tax computation and basic business decision-making. Exams are conducted every semester; they follow the usual DU pattern with internal assessment plus end-semester papers, and the difficulty level is moderate—scoring well is possible with consistent study, but some papers like corporate accounting, statistics and taxation can be challenging. Areas of improvement include adding more industry-oriented components such as live projects, updated software tools and internships for all students, and reducing a bit of overlap with school-level topics in the first year to make space for more advanced and contemporary commerce subjects

Course Curriculum Overview:

For me personally B.Com hons. is saviour . After tyhis course i will particapate in few competitive exam too. Areas for improvement can be done by adding more practical knowledge to our curriculum which will be helpful .

Hansraj College - The life inside those red walls

Placement Experience:

Placements i would say are quite decent and ROI is great as compared to the course fee . Top recruiters include Deloitte , KPMG , EY , PwC , Accenture , De shaw , Wipro etc. The average package ranges from 5-7 lpa. While the highest may touch 20+ lpa. However, All the students do not opt for placements. Many go for MBA or higher studies , some continue to pursue their professional courses. However , out of all the students willing to get placed , 80% and more of them are easily placed. My personal plans after the degree include CAT or GMAT and MBA.

VIPS Delhi is best for learning!

Admission are through both the entrance be it CLAT or IPU as typically it's a free hot central for students who have decent rank in both the entrance. VIPS is the most special law college of Delhi!

GGSIPU all the colleges I checked out and without a debate Vivekanand School of Legal Studies wins it hands down. Admission through CLAT scores and even IPU entrance scores are accepted. Admission for BBA LLB are though GGS and IPU university exams as that is how everyone of us gets admission.
