There are no air conditioners or chillers in the class room . This is big problem during summers

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is just fine . It's not that good . You just need to study yourself after college hours . The college ends at 4 30 so you need to study after that . There are few subjects that are not thata important .

Class Size: 78Course Fees: INR 120000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee for each semester for the batch 2023 to 2027 is 120000 . But there is a test (cucet) which the university conducts for the freshers to avail scholarships . The more marks you score in the test the more is scholarship . The scholarship continues in the 2nd year only if you scored more than 7.5 CGPA in first year .

Campus Life

The infrastructure is satisfactory , but there is need of air conditioners in the classrooms . The campus life is good , almost every month there is a event in the university were the singers performs . There are proper playgrounds and sports facility. The hostel Life is good as well as there are students from different states.

Hostel Facilities

The 4 seater room costs 120000 per year. There are 3 or 4 wardens in every hostel . The hostel food is satisfactory but not top notch . The food is served 3 times a day and 1 snack at 4 30 pm . The quantity of paneer and chicken is limited . That's it .

Admission

I visited the college to see the campus and after that after my consultation the faculty in registration office did all the process of admission but you can apply through the university website also . The faculty at the helping desk was very helpful . And I don't know about the exact cutoff of the cucet exam . To apply for cucet exam the additional fee is about 500 or 1000 . The admission process was very smooth .

The faculty is not top notch . They are just ok ok . Although almost all teachers are friendly but few teachers are very much annoying . Some of faculty members are unable to complete syllabus before exams . As the university takes the exams very frequently

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

From the second year itself students are eligible for campus placements and the companies right now visited are more than 80 + like Amazon Google Microsoft etc the highest package right now in our college 2.5 crore right now as a fresher more than 80% are getting placements which I can I can see and many used to start they own startups and get success in their field as help you teachers them and give them opportunity to learn and do startups and my plan after getting a degree is if you get a placement and huge packages and get a experience from them and to start my own business

My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

I didn't apply to any other college. I chose it because it was close to my home. The admission process to give CUCAT exam for which the fees is 1000 rupees. The passing marks are 40 out of 100.
