Course Curriculum Overview

The curicullum is good in theoritical level but in pratical level it is not at par Also the exams paper showing is not scheduled properly . The intrduction of courses form NPTEL is also not a nice idea form college side Apart from that everything is good

Placement starts from 5th sem and companies come for intership and ppo the companies that come here have salary from 5 lakhs to 40 lakhs student can opt depending on its merit and interest in the profile

The tuition fees is suppoed to be paid in advamce befre the sem starts Also the scholarships are provided based on the merit and criteria of CGPA above 7.5 The cost is like hostel yearly 81000 and academic 81000 extra expnes 36000 total one year 212000

Campus has a vibrant life where we have many events and promotional events as well The DJ nights freshers party are a cherry on the cake for the newbies Also their is alot of diversity as people come from differnt parts of india

Hostel is good for price point of view but when it comes to ammenities privacy and study enviroment is depends on the roomates that we have in our rooms While ragging is a big no and nothing happens on ground level in the hostel as well Its just when it comes to mantaenance is can be made better and wardens can be more friendly as weel

Admission

Scoring 30 plus in the cuet exam conducted by the college Also the exam are moderate to difficlt level and can be craked with minimum knowledge about the basic concepts The makrketing persons are just saying extra things they should be more specific and true to the students

Some of the teachers are biased in giving the marks in the internal part of the theory or practical assesement Although some of them are nice but this issue persist and is is a serious issue wich hampers the intenals of the student

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

I didn't apply to any other college. I chose it because it was close to my home. The admission process to give CUCAT exam for which the fees is 1000 rupees. The passing marks are 40 out of 100.
