Brief Review of Rajarambapu Institute Of Technology, Islampur

The ciricullum in the institute is very up to date. There are various updations in the cirriculum as compared to the earlier one and which were for sure needed. The only point at which it slacks is weteher the cirriculum cover a specific topic with the minute detais required. Also the courses provided are really good along with the open electives being in support of the carrer of a student

The internship opportunities were provieded by companies like insfosys,TCS,Atlas co-op and the roles offered where web developer, data analyst and many other with a stipend ranging between 10000-15000 based on specific roles.

Students are eligible for campus placement from the sixth semester onwards. I do not recall of any company which has visited and not given any offer. As per my information the average package for our department is around 800000 and the highest package was roughly around 1300000. The exact figure for percentage of students getting placement is not known to me but the reccesion in global market has even affected the institute.I plan on getting a placement and working in an IT firm after my degree complesion.

I have registered to coolege through OBC Quota which brings my total fee upto 83000. There are various scholarships available out of which I have registered for Tution and exam fees to OBC students. There is availability of student loan and a proper team is dedicated to work on this section. The campus employment opportunities are great.

The RIT Hackathon is held in october or november each year and is a great opportunity providede by th institute.One of the major feature of the institute is its library with the avialability of numerous technical books as well as non technical books.The Institute also provides with a E library sytem which is accesible to students through their phones or computers.The Sports and extracurricular activities are really well supported by the institue. I am a part of the cultural club of the institute and the facilities provided to us are rellay great.There are various student run clubs both technical and non technical.The technical clubs involve racing clubs,coding clubs and non technical have dance,drama and music. All these clubs help in personality development and time management skills to nay student.

The eligiblity of the course was to have completed the 12th ssc education and cleared the MHT-CET with a 91 percentile cuttoff for the open category. The application form, fees and application dates are all available on the official colllege website.There is a consession of both marks and fees for the OBC category which i had applied through.the only area for improvement in the admission process is lesser paperwork

The overall faculty in the institute is good. Although there is room for improvement but all the available faculty is always supportive. They are totally qualified for their jobs but in a very few cases they are not able to express all their available knowledge properly.
