Course Curriculum Overview

Syllabus of Calcutta University has lots of information and it's a great curriculum, but somewhere the practicality of the theories we learn remain. Vast and informative curriculum makes it difficult for students to prepare for semesters, which are held 3-4 months interval.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 3505 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

You have to deposit admission fees, then exam fees before exam. It usually remains around 4000, without any concession. Concessions can be done with proper papers and a good attendance percentage. VYBK scholarship (state given) is available for students. No stipends or such in college.

Campus Life

Every department celebrates different occasions. There is no permanent college festival, though few are held occasionally. Indoor sports competition is held, but no outdoor sports. Library covers a lot of books, but english version books are somewhat hard to find.

Admission

Basic online admission, one has to apply with marksheet of their 12th boards exam, and if the cutoff is matched, a sortlist is published. Interested students are then called up in campus for offline admission. College website for admission is bccrishra.ac.in.

Faculty

Departments have sufficient faculty with top notch qualification. Few of them have very good teaching style, benifitting the students. Faculty is helpful, as teachers are available most of the time in college, they communicate through phones also.

The field tricks are done sometimes to make us understand the reality and the course is really good. I love that and the field trip helps us a lot to explain and to learn things that happening around us and foods are provided from the school or sometimes on trips, I'm really happy with my college.
