A good remark is that the faculties will not disappoint students as they have great experience in their field. The bad remark is about the infrastructure and facilities of college that it is not up to the mark.

It was not my aim to take admission to this particular college only. But yes, according to my result, this is the best college that I can get as compared to other colleges. I have just checked the previous year details of IT branch of this college and it was much informative and enough to select this college.

IT department provides some course curriculum in which they include some additional subjects which will be greatly useful in future and they also organize some practical workshops to experience such online things happening in real life. They provide a chance for students to express their views and knowledge to other if they want.

No, college does not provide any type of internship. Generally, students do their internship from some industries of their fields and they also provide some stipend according to the ability of the student. The college does not ask for an internship as it is not compulsory for students.

The placements are average. Almost 60-70% of the students get placed. The maximum salary offered by the company is 3.25 lakhs, and the minimum is 1.75 lakhs per year. The best company that comes is Infosys. Other companies are Tech Mahindra, Wipro, Quanta process, Expat system, TCS, Cybage, etc.

The college runs some student chapters such as ISTE, IEEE, ASME, CSI etc. and each committee organizes many events both state level and national level in between the semesters. Some of these committees are also running internationally. They conduct some technical events and some nontechnical events according to the student's interests. College also organizes their own event every year named as IMAGE in which they organize cultural night, Bollywood night, annual function.

As per the college infrastructure and facilities, the fees of the college is somewhat expensive.
The tuition fees of college are nearly 120000 /- which is not a small amount. After giving this large amount they also take fees for organizing some additional events for students which is simply worthless.

The college does not provide any type of scholarship. But yes, it comes under Charutar Vidya Mandal. So, they provide a scholarship to the top students of the college every year. Other than that, many students are grabbing the scholarship provided by the state government named as MYSY. It has some criteria which have to be fulfilled by the students to take it.

Campus life is somewhat decent. The college campus is not so big. There ate only 3 buildings out of which one is the main building and other are of different branches. There is an auditorium of college which is quite large. College also has computer labs for IT department in good condition. The capacity of the labs is sufficient according to the strength of students. They also organize sports competition for all type of sports.

Hostel facilities of the college hostel are not up to the mark. The fees structure of the hostel is 37000/- per year. There is no problem in the rooms of the hostel. But, the food is simply a disaster. They provide poor quality and flavorless food. The room is shared between 3 students. There is no facility of a separate bathroom. There are common bathrooms which are shared between 7-8 rooms.

There is not a system for interacting with alumni. But sometimes they call those students of the college who have achieved something big after their degree. So that, we can interact with them. Seniors are very helpful as they share their experiences when they were in the previous year which becomes very useful for the juniors.

College takes one mid-semester exam which of 20 marks and they also consider 10 marks ppt presentation. At the end of the semester, they conduct an external exam which is of 70 marks. And just before the end semester exam they also conduct viva and practical exam which is nominal of 50 marks. College makes a result from 150 marks per subject.

This college comes under Gujarat technical university which follows a particular process.
The state has an ACPC committee for the admission process in which we have to pay some amount which will be later considered as college's tuition fees and then we have to give the list of selected colleges in which we want to take admission. This process consists of 3 rounds.

The faculty in GCET are also a mixed experience. Some faculty members are very helpful, but some are there for only torturing you. As GCET is under Gujarat Technological University, it's obvious that G. H. Patel College of Engineering and Technology students are great enough to break any records. However, the thing is, GTU course is highly outdated, and hence students are underexposed though they are gems.
