Course Curriculum Overview

BA in Political Science is just a generic course in this college. The syllabus that they follow is of Age old Ranchi University. It needs to change. There is a big scope for that. They should improve it.

Class Size: 78Course Fees: INR 30000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure is okay. Not very high. Scholarships are not provided by the college itself but The Jharkhand Government & The Central government provide some scholarships for the students belonging to the Backward category.

Campus Life

There is nothing like some big campus. There are just buildings. 3 Cafeterias, sitting places, a ground , a gallery, a parking area. There are some clubs which you can chose upon your choice. Infra is average.

Admission

Admission process is quite simple. You have to give one entrance test which is quite easy . If you pass it you will be admitted. Last year the cutoff was 56/100 for General / OBC category and around 50 for ST & SCs.

Faculty

Qualifications certainly does not mean they are effective. I think some of them are highly qualified. Some teach well. But there are some, whose egos are bigger than their knowledge. I really don't appreciate that.

Placement Experience:

The placement oppourtunity is very low as only rare companies visits our college and tgey select only few students and gives tgem the opportunity to work with them due to which maximum students faces employment difficulty. The rate of placement is only upto 20-30% .

I has a vision to study English from the very beginning. I wanted to study English since i was good at English and also the most important thing was me being an isce student upto class 12 which inculcated a strong English base in me English as a subject is very vast. As the world is heading towards modernisation English has become a very important thing. Gossner college has good English professors and also i heard a lot from most of my seniors that gossner college has best English faculty. The frequency of exam is 2 exams per semester where the portion tought in the syllabus is asked and it's not very easy and not very tough too

My Low Budget College life in Master at St. Xavier's College Ranchi

I choose St. Xavier's College college over any other college because of it's name (brand) plus it does regular classes and completes it's syllabus on time compared to other colleges who doesn't provide regular classes and never completes their syllabus never on time is a different matter but the whole syllabus never gets covered and most of it is left out. I am comparing it to the Ranchi College, ranchi which is under Ranchi University name as it never does regular classes and never completes it syllabus, it has no proper faculties for each subject, don't do any other extra curriculum activities hardly ever does any practical classes plus there is no internship opportunities....Read More

The best collage in ranchi

I had applied for the Doctor Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University Ranchi. And i got selected there also but i found st xavier's college ranchi is better then that college as this is autonomous applied new education policy of fourth year graduation. I didn't get rejection as i had filled only this two college in ranchi for bachelor's degree. The admission process is we have to fill an online form ,after that we have to clear an entrance ixam ,then after clearing the cutoff we get selected for the course. Thanks...Read More
