Awesome experience

I love the language English so I opted for this course and this being the best college in the state and third best in the eastern zone it had to be SXC Ranchi. It is the first autonomous college under Ranchi university. Entrance exam is conducted by and in the college this course is one of the oldest and reputed ones of SXC RanchiFor externals. Just go through the bacis of English literature the panel there is there to check your deservingness that's it. Need not worry a lot just be confident. Keep all your documents ready and attested as you won't get enough time after the list is out.

No proper internship criteria but companies do visit the campus Just stay updated with the college website i missed it Stipend for the ST,SC and OBC as per government rules and deserving students with financial problems are given compensation but i don't have much idea about it.

Though the college fest organised by the college is not as awesome as the IIM's. Though it being SXC and in Ranchi its super cool and one event to look up to. Generally conducted in January. Several other fests are organised by different departments of the college are good as well,the one of the MCVP Department is one worth a mention.

When compared to others in the rank the college isn't expensive at all and not much of additional charges the exam fees etc. Is charged. But yes the course fee is increasing every year but only to provide all facilities to its students.

The course is not expensive and I believe many can pay the fees without a loan. Yet loans are provided by several banks bank of India one amongst them. None in my knowledge have had problems regarding the loan for the course.

Campus life is cool i seldom wanted to leave the college after class extracurricular activities happen after intervals after all you can't avoid studies college has labs but being students of Literature we had nothing to do with it. Cricket,football,basketball tournaments take place every year along with several more.

There is a hostel for boys from 11th to B.ed and none for the girls. But yes one can there are several PG's available all around at a reasonable cost with friendly owners. Crime rate in the city is low so most of them are safe.

It all depends on your network Facebook twitter and friends of friends are the means to get in touch with the alumnus. Strictly a ragging free campus but can't say about the hostels. None even gives a damn to the ragging thing.

Exams are conducted in the college and are strict (no chance of cheating). You get time for last moment preparations between the papers if you choose the right subjects as supplementary subjects and if you don't happen to get a paper back.

Always helpful in academics and friendly HOD. Dr. R. N. Sinha is really good and approachable and best in his field. Bose Sir makes you learn anything very easily. Achal Sinha Sir is best in Linguistics according to me.
