Likes

Teachers are very helpful and try to know their students.
Teachers are qualified and help their students go through the syllabus.
Ideal environment for building communication techniques and skills.

Dislikes

Interaction is low among students of different departments due to classes being distant from each other.
Lectures can be of more higher level but somewhat lacking in it.
Harsh weather conditions may result in problems maintaining attendence.

I have chosen BCA (Bachelors in Computer Applications) which prepares me in skills required in the IT sector. The practicals included in the syllabus helps to tackle real life problems by applying logical techniques from the course itself.

Internships Opportunities

The students recieve internships in their year or from 5th semester onwards. Students from various depts recieve internsips based on their in-class performance and personality . The students of AIMT can get the internships in their respective fields by getting referred by their respective HODs

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fee of the BCA course was 2.22 lakhs (74000rs per year). The exam and center fees are to be paid externally. Various scholarships under different programs are provided to students by their respective HODs.

Campus Life

The name of the cultural program of AIMT is 'Sanskriti' and it packs an extragavanza of activities such as ramp walks,singing competitions, guiter and music, poems, shayaris, etc. The BCA dept. have their own annual fest known as 'Gamers', where games ranging from major AAA titles to simple games like ludo are played.

Admission

The eligibility of this course was 10+2 and preferrably having Maths in your HS. The application form can be found in the college's official website. Exams are held in the form of seasonal and term end to test each student's capability and knowledge in their respective fields

The student-teacher ratio is ideal for communication and making sure every student is grasping the concepts from each subjects. The faculties have different approches to subjects based on the requirements of each subject.

"Genuine Review of BCA at ADP College: Good Faculty but Average Placements"

Placement Experience:

"To be honest, the campus placement at ADP College is average. Students become eligible for placements from the 5th or 6th semester. Since this is a general degree college, we don't see very big tech giants visiting frequently. Mostly, students try for off-campus drives like TCS Smart Hiring or Wipro WILP. Some local IT firms and agencies from Nagaon and Guwahati also visit the campus. The average salary package is around 1.8 Lakhs to 2.5 Lakhs per annum. The highest package usually goes up to 3 Lakhs. Around 30% to 40% of students get placed, mostly in roles like Junior Developer, System Support, or BPO sectors. Many students prefer to go for higher studies instead of taking these jobs.

Placement Experience:

For campus placement the students should be in final semester or should be graduated.. Automobile companies visit for the placement and it is limited. The package they offer is like 5-6 LPA . 5% of the total students are getting the placements. My plan is to prepare for competitive exams after getting the degree .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I wanted to learn coding and pursue my dream as a web development. Our department prepare us well for real-world applications by making us doing project and assignments that are related to real world applications for our further future. We are learning how to do static and dynamic projects. They should change some of their teaching method as for labs (partical) and give more explanation on that as some teachers are not that good in explaining a practical part . Theory exams are easy but practical parts is a little difficult sometimes due to the lack of understanding the subject but some are easy.
