Likes

Food courts are almost everywhere with delicious cuisines to homemade food taste. Gardens are parks are beautifully designed and maintained.
Soft skills trainers are very good and talented. Talking about infrastructure libraries are in every block with proper wifi facility and PCs also.

Course Curriculum Overview

The Course curriculum is properly assigned and aligned with various universities and teaching is according to that. Students can get help from the LMS portal assigned to each student after admission for notes and other study-related ppts.

Internships Opportunities

Internships and placement offers are for TPP-registered students. Companies such as FICO, LG, Nokia, Paypal, TCS, and many more come for on-campus placements. Projects are assigned to students every semester both major and minor to enhance their skills.

Placement Experience

Placement of college are good. Student has to register for TPP programs to sit in on campus drives. And the process has started from 6th semester. In TPP programs students are trained for aptitude and interviews.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fees is little bit expensive and it increases after every 2 year and despite that examination fees is there. But scholarships are provided upto coverage of 90% of tution fees through CUCAT entrance exam.

Campus Life

There are various fests organized in university related to various states such as Haryana divas, Lohri festival and many more. Workshops are organised by various departmental clubs related to technical aspects and other co cultural activities. Sports events are also organised annually

Admission

Admission process is based on 12th score, JEE mains (if appeared), and CUCAT for scholarship criteria. Application forms are available online on official website and students can contact them, their admission helpline services are quite good.

Faculty

Faculty to students ratio is 2:70. Mentorship is quite good and healthy for students. Interaction with teachers is easy in CU as students can contact them for any help. Their are different departments for faculty such as handling events, mooc coordinator, academic coordinator and many more

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

From the second year itself students are eligible for campus placements and the companies right now visited are more than 80 + like Amazon Google Microsoft etc the highest package right now in our college 2.5 crore right now as a fresher more than 80% are getting placements which I can I can see and many used to start they own startups and get success in their field as help you teachers them and give them opportunity to learn and do startups and my plan after getting a degree is if you get a placement and huge packages and get a experience from them and to start my own business

My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.
