- 1) First of all, the fees is quite regulated as compared to other private medical colleges,there are no hidden charges whatsoever.
Dislikes
- 1) it's a new college, patient outflow could have been much better but it's improving year by year
- 2) unavailability of 24/7 library, the library closes by 8pm on most days
Course Curriculum Overview
The college follows all the nmc guidelines and curriculum strictly, 75% attendance is mandatory to sit in exams, throughout one year, two internals, one pre professional and one professional exam is conducted, practical teaching is given utmost importance in this institute, labs are fully equipped with all the required instruments
Internships Opportunities
There is one year of rotatory internship following 4.5 years of mbbs You're given a stipend of 12,000 per month as per nmc guidelines You're posted in different departments each month to get a hands on exposure and learning practical approach to treating patient
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
Tution fees per annum for course- 11,92,000 Miscellaneous expenses-86,000 Hostel fees (with AC)+ mess fees - 1,75,000 The fee structure is much better compared to other private medical colleges, there are no hidden charges However 150 units of electricity is free per room for one month, exceeding which you've to pay the electricity bill
Campus Life
Co curricular are not that great, annual Diwali, Holi and janmashtami celebrations are done in campus It's a new college so there's still lack of clubs and societies However that would definitely improve in future
Hostel Facilities
The hostel infrastructure is really great, all the rooms have air conditioners The girl's hostel even has attached washroom with each room The rooms are triple sharing The mess food is edible for the most part! However I would still consider it better as compared to other colleges The hostel has connected gym and reading room facility The hostel also has a common tv room and also a table tennis room The hostel fees ( including mess) is 1,75,000 rupees per annum
Admission
The cut off varies each year depending on the inflation A rank till 2.5 lakh is save to secure your admission Counselling and admission procedure is conducted by uttar Pradesh medical council There are no reserved seats in this college
Faculty
All the faculty at niims is qualified from premium institutes, everyone has done specialisation in their respective fields, most of the teachers are very approachable and would love to entertain your doubts on a one to one basis, you are given hands on exposure during your clinical postings.
