What Students Say
Likes
- College is vibrant. It is shaded with green trees and plants everywhere. There is the security guard on the gate on the both sides. Regular patrolling of police is done in the campus.
- Faculty is quite nice. Some of the teachers are supportive and eager to teach the students. They have sufficient knowledge about the core subjects they teach.
- Curriculum is apt for the duration of the course. It is flexible in nature.
Dislikes
- The staff of the college is quite rude. I went to take my degree they demanded 200 rs for the degree which is distributed free of cost.
- Some of the faculty members are absent or not available on the time of the class. Even if they are present sometimes they make the students wait for too long that they get demotivated and return back to home without attending classes.
- Placements are generally available only for the professional courses like MBA, BBA, etc.
Course Curriculum Overview
8/10 rating I will give to the university curriculum. I chose B.A. English Honours since English as a Language was an area of interest for me. And I also wanted to do M.A. with English hence it was mandatory to have English as the core subject in my graduation. The course is theoretical, it should have applied some practical approach to enhance the learning experiences of the students.
Placement Experience
The placements are generally provided to the professional courses students like MBA, BBA, M.Com etc. For Arts and Humanities students there are certain competitions of debated and exposure on district level. There are a few internships offered to the campus students. Average package provide to placement is 1.2 lakh per annum.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee for the three years of graduation is approx 10000. Tution fee, Library Fee, Establishment Fee, Annual Charges, Charges for Events etc. are taken together at the time of Registration in the fresh year. Scholarships like NSP, Kanya Utthan are available for the students. A few internships can be seen. Prizes and Money are distributed for the winners of Debate competitions.
Campus Life
Not much festivals were celebrated in the campus. Independence Day , National Youth Day, Saraswati Puja were celebrated after taking donation from the campus students, that too by the college seniors. Sports was an active aspect. There was a playground in the college. Students used to play cricket and basketball in the ground.
Admission
First you have to register on the portal of Patliputra University. Then in the students corner choose your colleges from the list and choose the course. After the registration fee payment you will have to wait for the merit list. In the merit list it is clarified that which students have got chance to take admission in which college. There are 3-4 merit lists that release one after another. You also have the chance to upgrade your college selection.
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio is 1:200 , However it doesn't bother the learning experiences of the learners. Everyone can ask their doubts one by one. The teachers are well qualified and experienced. They have a good command over the subjects they teach.
