Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

It's a noble profession as we are directly treating patients. The teaching module is greatly designed and allows us to work on ourselves and focus on the betterment of ourselves. Sometimes it becomes a little hectic as the course is really vast.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

In BDS, we have our own course internship that is of 1 year and we are paid for that internship. Stipend is very less around 2000/ month but it is mandatory to do the internship. There are several other internships u can do outside the college.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure is around 1lakhs for government seats, Private seats cost around 3-5 lakhs. And there are NRI seats also which costs even more. Scholarships are provided for the state students. Rest all is great over here

Campus Life

4

Campus life is great. We have several activities. Many programme like Yoga day, No Tobacco day, Kannada Rajyotsava etc. are held. Numerous fests are held in a gap of few days. All the festivals are celebrated with joy.

Admission

I wrote NEET as it is compulsory to reach the cutoff score which was around 130 during the year 2019. Then we had to enroll through the KEA website and we were called to the KEA office for further counseling process. Then you can choose your desired college.

Faculty

4

All the faculties are highly educated and have great experience in teaching field. There is a mentor mentee programme held once in every 3months where students can share the difficulties faced with them in the campus as well as personal life with the mentor staff. Teaching and learning goes hand to hand. Great campus leading to placements also.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was always wanted to join medical services.Although during my neet ug entrance I could not make it to mbbs but dental was the choice only left I dont regret my choice because its way too vast for anyone Curriculum gives you basic knowledge but clinical practice actually prepares for the real world.Dentistry is all about art and skills I feel areas for improvement is only the exam factor.Number of exams are too much and they should reduce the exam pressure into few Frequency of exams are 4 exams per year and in final year 8 exams including part 1 and part 2 Difficulty level is too much, every exam requires thorough knowledge of the subject

Course Curriculum Overview:

•The course is not that tough but it's not that easy too. •It requires dedication and time. •Theory is needed but in dentistry hand work is utmost important. •To excel in the clinics we should develop our hand skills. •A lot of patient flow helps the students to perform their best because they get tp practice more. •A lot of patience is required in this field. •One should have patience to get patients. •The exams are not very tough to crack. •Regular studies will help to score excellent marks •People also pass by studying from 1 month before the final exam

Bapuji Dental College and Hospital - [BDCH], Bachelor of Dental Science [BDS]
Reviewed on Dec 28, 2021(Enrolled 2021)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because i wanted to be a dentist. The student ratio Of boys and girls is 50-50 approximately The faculty staff is so big and helpful towards students. Professors are well qualified but the Teaching method isn't really good in a few subjects also 80 students so professors can't focus on individual students. Overall it's ok. Term exams are yearly annual exams. There is no semester system. It is hard to pass per year because the syllabus is so lengthy and subjects are hard. You need to prepare well to pass.
