Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose BA hons (English) because I've always been passionate for it, but in Banasthali specifically because I've heard from every friend of mine who studies here or has studied here, that the degree value for this course is immensely good and appreciated everywhere. That too for a reason, because the education provided is actually great. They prepare us very well and give us great knowledge for whatever course you have opted for. They make sure to keep it interesting and let the students interact as much as possible so it is shown that we are truly learning and understanding everything. There are assignments given two times each semester, and even periodical exams take place each semester, along with final semester end examination commencing in the end.

Internships Opportunities

4

Lots of interships are provided for students, for many different fields. For example, Intershala, Money monsoon month, etc. Even opportunities at Mahamana Youth Summit. Many NGOs as well. They are great for certification, experience, money making, etc.

Placement Experience

3

The degree value of Banasthali Vidyapith is in huge amounts and is appreciated greatly worldwide. The university provides placements and the average placement can range around 5/7 LPA. The highest placement has been 22 LPA. Studying in Banasthali also gives great skills to survive as the university has its own unique different rules than other universities or colleges in India or Foreign. It gives great opportunities to get admission onto some great universities for further education as well.

Fees and Financial Aid

The course fees vary accordingly for different courses. As per courses like BA or BA hons, the fees ranges around 53,000. The hostel feels lies around 10,000 and mess charges are somewhere around 21,000 if I'm not wrong. Overall if we include everything along with campus fees and electricity and water too, for BA/BA(hons) students, it can range around 1.5/2 lakhs for us (that's how it is for me). Various internships are provided during summer vacations for the students, and quite a lot of fests keep on happening for students to participate and showcase what they have within themselves.

Campus Life

4

The campus is really big and feels like a town in itself. There are campus buses provided that come every ten minutes till the time of curfew, for easy transportation around for the students. There are cafes and markets within, that provide almost everything to the students, so it doesn't make us feel if we're missing out on anything (because we can't go out). There are clubs for every activity and many fests happen throughout the year to keep it entertaining for the students and also to learn many different things.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel facilities are good, or maybe even average for most people. Rooms are good. We're provided single beds, with desks and cupboards. You might have to get your own battery fans because ceiling fans are not provided. Instead there are side wall attached fans and they hardly do the job. Although we'll have to do all the cleaning ourselves. We'll also have to wash our own dishes after eating in the mess and the food can range from bad, to bad to average. The bathrooms might not be the best at staying clean either.

Admission

The admission starts with filling of the application form online within the closing date. If you are eligible to be given admission, you get informed so and then get called to the university for medical tests and final admission procedures on/ till specific date given. Things in Banasthali are not completely digital yet so everything can take a lot of time and huge lines to go through for all of the paper work.

Faculty

4

The teachers or the overall faculty can be really great and understanding. They are often very helpful and are good with education. But it can't be sure if they will always understand and be up to help in every go. A little bit attitude and unnecessary rudeness can be seen but mostly they're all average and good. Some teachers and staff members can give the comfort and homely feeling when girls feel helpless and alone in the university while having no clue what to do. While some can make the situation even worse and ruin our days more along with the already hectic schedule we live in.

Other Applied Colleges

Amity University | Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (English)

I didn't opt for this college as I wanted to get the best education when it came to doing BA hons in English. Yes Amity isn't bad but the degree value and education with the great knowledge provided by Banasthali is next level. I kept my career in mind an

I have interest in arts from my primary class. It is very good subject also have a good opportunity in future as a teacher, social work and media.my passion for human culture and society also force me to select this course.yes this curriculum prepare me for a real world applications because it is related to case studies and intern. Student problem are solved with the help of practical in labs.it also help me to prepare for further academic pursuits it covers foundation and advance topics relate to high level studies. For improvement in course curriculum and teaching methods i should suggest regular update in technology and industry, make the topic clear learning ,give projects and case studies to students.teaching methods can be improved by group discussion, assignment ,use of proper teaching tools . According me semester exam are best for every student.semester exams will not give too much burden on Timming for each semester should be after 6 months.Difficulty level of exam should be wide.To check student thinking power and reasoning also a best topic to improve skills in students.
