Likes

Clean and Green campus, Academic blocks and classes and labs are well equipped.
Well equipped study rooms, spacious libraries with proper computer rooms.
Clean hostels and rooms, regular cleaning everyday. On order room servicing for any kind of faults or any kind of problem while residing.

Dislikes

Subjects are too vast and sometimes its not necessary to study all about theory and more about practical.
Sometimes campus placements are too random and shortlisting criterias arent well defined.

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum is pretty vast but not that verified and created in accordance to the interests of the students. No doubt it is made with utnost credibility in mind. Major subjects are given more credits and other minors are given less.

There are pretty good chances of your on campus placement if you have worked hard. Near around 200 companies visit campus each year and if you are well qualified with skills. You will ve the perfect candidate for them. Average package : 6LPA 70% students get placed every year on an average

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees doesnt change even if u are promoted to the new semester. The fees for a semester and hostel remain same for same batches. Scholarships are available through a special exam known as CUCAT. Scholarships are to be maintained with adequate CGPA of 7.5.

Campus Life

Technical and annual fests are around the corner every year and there are a lot of others fests too. With evening and dj nigts, well lit campus during each fest or program with student support and coordinators. Top notch security.

Hostel Facilities

Top notch security. AC and duct rooms available. 3,4 and 5 seater rooms avaiable Regular cleaning and security checks Gate passes required for each visit outside the campus On demand room services available for any kind of hassle faced.

Hostel Fee: INR 130000 per year

Admission

Admission process is completely hassle free. Campus tours are available for parents where parents can assess the campus and decide whether it is good for their ward. Proper facilities and pick up services are provided for orientation and other programs.

Teachers and professors are well qualified with PHD and other well esteemed degrees. Teachers ar e supportive except some. Any advice or suggestion related to academics, researches and ideas are welcomed at all times. Interaction isnt limited here, you can approach them anytime for any kind of problem in academics except midnight of course.

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

From the second year itself students are eligible for campus placements and the companies right now visited are more than 80 + like Amazon Google Microsoft etc the highest package right now in our college 2.5 crore right now as a fresher more than 80% are getting placements which I can I can see and many used to start they own startups and get success in their field as help you teachers them and give them opportunity to learn and do startups and my plan after getting a degree is if you get a placement and huge packages and get a experience from them and to start my own business

My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.
