My review of SAKEC

Dislikes

  • The placements are not that good, median package being 4-5 LPA only

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is based on Mumbai University syllabus which has been there since a long time. The curriculum I feel is okay, but it should be enhanced further so that students can be industry ready. The exams conducted are fair and smooth and the level of paper is medium

Internships Opportunities :

Internships are offered by the internship cell, both paid and unpaid. Companies such as connectwise, vector consulting etc offer around 20-25k stipend per month and offer various roles in AIML, software engineering etc.

Placement Experience :

The placements are okayish. They need to be enhanced and made better. Currently the highest package offered till now is 25 LPA. Average package goes around 4-5 LPA. Many companies such as TCS, Infosys, Capegemini, Connectwise, Wipro etc come to the college every year for campus recruitment. Overall percentage of students getting placed are around 60-70%. My plan is to take up a job or pursue masters

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees are generally 1,42,000 for a general student with no scholarship and quota. There are numerous scholarships available for economically weaker students and also for girl students as well as reserved categories. I have been part of college committees and chapters where I have taken up multiple roles

Campus Life :

There are multiple aspects when it comes to campus life. There are many student chapters like IEEE, ACM, IETE, ISTE etc. Also we have Pratishtha- the annual symposium of the college which is held in March. The library has many journals, books, volumes etc, which has abundant knowledge. Also college has a sports club and overall participation in sports is higher

Admission :

The admission process was smooth and hassle free. The cutoff for Information technology, course which I'm enrolled was around 80 percentile for general category through JEE in 2021. The college guides you properly once you come over there after CAP round allotment. You can also cancel your admission in case you feel the need

Faculty :

Faculty members are good. They have expertise in their field and they conduct classes properly. Apart from some, there are facilities having knowledge to the core. By this learning becomes more interesting and better

Placement Experience:

The employability is currently low because of the recession. But till I complete my course it'll be recovered. However by hearing from many graduates of this college I can say the employability is quite good .

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for internships and placement in their 4th year of college ie 7th and 8th semester. Jp Morgan chase and Co. Visits the college which is famous along with some other companies. Due to recession the out of 800 around 200-400 students get placed. My plans after degree is to get a good job and get placed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.

Admission:

unfortunately i don't know too much about this college before taken to admission and this college made fraud entry in the AICTE brochure that this college established in 1998. actually this college established in 2006. i think this institute is too older and we can take chance to peruse my degree.during our AICTE process you have to fill the form through online and then you will allocated college, if you got the college within first 9 then you have to take admission compulsory and here is my bad luck, i have selected this college for ninth number.i cant change and unfortunately cant withdrawal form also cause i am open category student and i will not be considered for EBC if i take admission for engineering.

Placement Experience:

from college establishment not single student placed. even college don't have placement officer (TPO). no company want to visit such kind of college which don't have even basic things.
