Course Curriculum Overview :

There are some subjects that we study in first year like for example chemistry which is useless for a computer science student. The exams are held very often like the internals and semester exams which comes at almost around 3.5 months which feels very difficult.

Class Size : 45Course Fees : INR 100000 per year

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The complete cost of the course is at around 4 lakhs for 4 year excluding the hostel fees and other fees. Scholarships are mostly awarded for peoples of lower castes and based on marks. The fees of computer science engineering has increased while the others are already less

Campus Life :

We have mainly 3 programs in our college which are Rhythm,Karnak and Tech olympiad oh which Rhythm and karnak are arts days which the tech olympiad is a technological fest conducted by our college.There are vlubs like science, maths, IT, dance, Music , athletics, games and other communities like NSS and NCC.The library is so wider as it contains around 1000 books of various genres.

Hostel Facilities :

There are two types of room which are attached bathroom and the ones with non attached bathroom. The room is four sharing as it will have four beds and shelves for keeping our stuffs and there is a fan. The food quality is not very satisfactory as there were some hygienic issues in the previous year. You can rent a room near the college at Nellimattom. The hostel fee is 5800rs for non atttched and 6000 for attached bathrooms

Hostel Fee : INR 72000 per year

Admission :

The eligibility of the course is either 12th or a diploma in engineering. The application forms are available at the college. We are eligible for the couse if we have a minimum of 60% in our 12th class

Faculty :

The teachers are very supportive. They always help us during classes and even after the class time they help us to study. Student to teacher ratio is just perfect as there are enough teachers and they are well qualified. They give us the freedom to ask the doubt for 24/7

Campus is choosen wisely

Course Curriculum Overview:

Actually the university curriculum is bit old fasion.Like the technology is a way head of the things that we are studying in the sessions.But the basis are well learned from it.The improvement we need in that is that to get out of the instituion as a proffesional that can handle the new technolgy that the real world work in.The curriculum is need to improve so much as per the technology improves the students want to know what all changes that are happening in the real world and they want to be trained according to that.

My Journey at MITS

Placement Experience:

Our campus placement will begin from 7th semester. From 5th semester onwards college will provide training for placements and we have placement cell for this. An average LPA of 5 is provided from our college. Good amount of companies visit our campus for placement and we also get oppertunity to go for off campus placement

Placement Experience:

In the 7th and 8th semesters, the students become eligible for campus placements. Infosys, and Spyridian, are the companies that often come for placements .3 -4 lakhs is the highest package given by these companies.The percentage of students getting placement is about 50-70. My plan is to go for higher studies or to go for a job.

SEEING STCET THROUGH MY VISION

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd year onwards we could attend placement interviews and many companies used to approach our college but mostly IT companies as I was in civil dept the construction companies were very less or NIL. In our batch, most of the students got placed and many offer letters but the only disadvantage was the offers were not from the core companies.
