Chandigarh University held many functions and invite many celebrities

Dislikes

Attendance criteria is too strict as you need 75% attendance for exams
Debarred policy is too silly as they threaten you to debar you for everything
After classes day scholars are not allowed in campus but why they also have given the same fee as hosteler

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose Chandigarh University because of its placement Providence which is really good. Here I've done many projects which are required in real world and also helped me in my academics. Difficulty level of exams is medium as students who are poor in studies can also get passing marks atleast.

Class Size: 74Course Fees: INR 210000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fee increases every year here when I got admission fee was 105000 per sem but now fee here is approx 160000 which is really high but university also provide scholarship to students based on its exam cucet. You can maintain your scholarship every year by getting 7.5 cgpa or more. University provides opportunities to you by bringing in companies or workshops.

Campus Life

Festivals are typically held in feb- March or September. Festivals are like a series of 4-5 days which makes it really liveful. Library here is really good and big and you can find every type of book here. Classes have latest projector implemented in them.

Admission

Eligibility of the course was more than 75% marks in 12th and for scholarship you have to give University exam CUCET in which if you get above 90 marks you can get 100% scholarship. Application forms and other details you can find on its official website. No reservations benefits. Medium difficultly level of exams.

Faculty

Most of the faculty members are have their degree in master of engineering or MBA. Teachers here are helpful in nature and are approachable for students when they need them. Teachers also have there own unique ways to teach students and make classes intresting for students.

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

From the second year itself students are eligible for campus placements and the companies right now visited are more than 80 + like Amazon Google Microsoft etc the highest package right now in our college 2.5 crore right now as a fresher more than 80% are getting placements which I can I can see and many used to start they own startups and get success in their field as help you teachers them and give them opportunity to learn and do startups and my plan after getting a degree is if you get a placement and huge packages and get a experience from them and to start my own business

My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

I didn't apply to any other college. I chose it because it was close to my home. The admission process to give CUCAT exam for which the fees is 1000 rupees. The passing marks are 40 out of 100.
