- The faculty is very nice and educated and each teacher here in the department is a PhD!
- The lab provides good computers and is accessible anytime in college hours
Dislikes
- The department is very small, it is not that big.
- The batch strength is only 42...some seats don't get filled up
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum has superb optional courses like financial statistics, Epidemiology etc, Statistical Learning and data mining and the major courses are also very relevant which make the course bith practical and theory oriented! The exams difficulty is quite high here.
Internships Opportunities :
Internships are mostly unpaid but the faculties have various contacts in research institutes and with individual researchers due to which you get a chance to work with highly experienced professionals and get opportunities to do projects under them
Placement Experience :
The placements are actually very nice since if you study well, all of the students can be eligible for placements and there are various companies which visit on campus for hiring so there is always a chance of 100% placements here. The highest package goes upto 14 LPA.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees are very minimal being a university and on top of that there are various scholarships which the students can avail through the department which makes the university even economically affordable. Hostel fees are also very minimal....around 2000 per year. The academic course fees are around 20k yearly but scholarships are provided to students who perform well.
Campus Life :
The infrastructure provided is nice. We have access to 2 libraries so almost all books are available. There are many events conducted by the students which also makes the university life very fun. There are sports and gym amenities available in campus too so the students need not worry about these too!
Admission :
The admission process is an entrance test whose syllabus is given. The level of the test is quite moderate not too hard but there are no previous year questions to practice from which is an area of improvement. More previous year questions should be provided so that the children can practice!
Faculty :
The faculty is highly educated as all of the are PhD's. Their knowledge is immense and most of the teachers teach very nicely and are very approachable for the students. The teachers are also available on call message or emails which is a very good thing!
