Course Curriculum Overview

2

As the BAMS degree is divided into the old and new courses I am in the old course which has a duration of 4.5 years and first 3 years are 1 year and rest 1.5 years is the final year it has only one final exam in the last. The admission process was through the neet score only. But after that new course was introduced which has 1.5 years of 3 years and a total duration of 4.5 years which includes internal exams and other stuff which is quite hard and also our course BAMS teaches ayurvedic medicine and allopathy as well but the bams graduate doesn't get equal salary as mbbs doctors so there is the back step in this degree. At this time I will not recommend anyone to do this course.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

There is complasry internship you have to do in this course you have to do 6 months of internship in the your self college and rest 6 month internship is provided by the government which you can do in any primary health centre of the India.

Fees and Financial Aid

My course has tution fee of 2,60,000 per year and hostel students has another fee of 60,000 per year. As the government of Gujarat is providing scholarship for the SC/ST backward student i am very happy to share that my government is paying all the 100% tution fee of my college. Which is around total 11,70,000 and also government is providing scholarship of 10,000 per year. Which is quite good and giving opportunities to the backward student. Any backward student who has family income of lower then 1,20,000 can avail this benifit. So when it comes to this section i am very satisfied but for the other students there is quite higher tution fee which is not affordable some may afford or some may not so there is another loophole in the section of affordability.

Campus Life

4

The campus is very large and it has big herbal garden as well the atmosphere of the campus is quite good and in the season of rain it got greeny everywhere it also has very peace. And after visiting the campus you will get the peace of mind. There is the library in the college which has around 1000+ books and all the books you can refer and also link to your card. All the class of the college are very well ventilated and very well designed in the winter session the college conduct sports week in that students can participate in different type of games and play the games and college also provide gifts and winning prize to the participants.

Admission

The course eligibility is based on the exam called NEET. You have to Qualify for the neet and as well for the 12th STD with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subject. After that students have to give the exam of neet and have to qualify in it. So that students can get admission in the BAMS after the result comes out the cut off score will be for General students will be 450-500 , for OBC it will 350-400 and for SC/ST it will be 300-400 in the Gujarat state. The counseling process is conducted by the medadmguj web site which is quite simple and they provide the choice off filling for the college's. And I think the admission process should be more transparent. The NEET exam is very tough you have to take extra classes and extraa reading to crack that exam.

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is 1:20 in the college all the faculty are well qualified and all are deciplined. They provide excellent knowledge. But the main thing is most off the faculty are from out side of the state so the local can't communicate properly with the faculty there are few local faculty which communicates very well with the students. And also there are good faculties which they have good teaching and also medical knowledge they are performing very well in the hospital as well they are getting good knowledge by practicing and they provide good treatment to the patient without any difficulty.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The aspects are after choosing this course there appears Dr before my bame and that is well enough to choose me this course. The curriculum prepares great experience for the real world application and there are many many chances of further academic pursuits like md and other super speciality courses . The ares for improvement in this course is to provide better practical important from teaching in a practical way , that can be done better. The difficulty level is mediocre because semester exams contains the syllabus from the semester and university is dependent on the government.

Course Curriculum Overview:

To choose BAMS was my decision considering its demand post covid and in abroad there is lot of demand While studying this course I realised that are many diseases which are not cured by allopathy but Ayurveda has the scope to heal that disease For improvement here is by bringing more awareness about ayurveda and need of good teaching faculties In our college we have 3 terms with each term having 3 periodicals with 1.5 month gap followed by a term end exam The difficulty level is maintained so as to prepare for university

Accourding to my ranking in the NEET UG - 2018 . I decided to Opt for the Ayurveda course . And specifically for Vadodara at that time it was one of the best collages . Some improvement that should be made academically is starting to teach from the Samhitas direct rather than using different books
