Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is very old fashioned and boring. Also there is no practical use of that teaching. No company requires knowledge about most of the theoritical subjects whicha re being taught in the college.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 640000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Around 20 companies will visit in 3rd year for internship opportunities. Othe than that many companies will also come in last year for giving internship opportunity rather than full time opportunities.

Placement Experience

Placement scenario I would say is good. It, remember that median package is around 4 lpa. Around 200 companies will surely visit to Chandigarh University and each company will take students ranging from 1 to 20.

Fees and Financial Aid

In year 2020, 80000 was per semester fee. So the total 8 semester cost for bachelor's of engineering in computer science was 640000. But, now in 2024, fees per semester have increased from 80k to 130k. Scholarship is provided. Average package is 4 lpa.

Campus Life

Infrastructure is good. Campus Life is also good. Every week some or other function is organised in the university. Different actor and actress come in the university to promote his or her movies at regular intervals.

Admission

The admission process was good. It was simple. Chandigarh University conducts an entrance cum scholarship test for admission. So, simply you have to give that test named Cucat and there you can avail scholarships upto 30 percent easily.

Faculty

Teachers are qualified and they will teach what they are supposed to do, but it's all upon you whether you want to learn the concepts or not. Teachers won't care whether you are paying attention or not. They are there to teach concept and then go to next class

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

My college experience as a fresher

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

From the second year itself students are eligible for campus placements and the companies right now visited are more than 80 + like Amazon Google Microsoft etc the highest package right now in our college 2.5 crore right now as a fresher more than 80% are getting placements which I can I can see and many used to start they own startups and get success in their field as help you teachers them and give them opportunity to learn and do startups and my plan after getting a degree is if you get a placement and huge packages and get a experience from them and to start my own business

My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

I didn't apply to any other college. I chose it because it was close to my home. The admission process to give CUCAT exam for which the fees is 1000 rupees. The passing marks are 40 out of 100.
