Nshm is the best institution for optometry in West Bengal. Here we are not only taught about the theory of optometry but also we get regular practical classes. Our institution conduct conferences and seminars too for better knowledge.

For internships students need to give interview. And in case of my department, we have a 1 year compulsory internship program included in our course. For which many eye hospitals and institutions come for taking interview.

Every year placement is given to the top students from each department. The placement is done very thoroughly after taking interviews. Every year renowned companys come for the placement and many students even gets placed.

If the fees are paid one time then it is around 4lakh. If it is paid semester wise then it's around 485000. If the fees are paid yearly then it is around 4.5 lakh. Our institution also provides scholarships to students who have a quite good marks in their boards.

My overall experience in Nshm is quite good. Our institution not only provides value education but also our institution got many clubs such are earthmate club, book lounge club. And there are also sports club then there this a group for fine arts, sports.

The admission is done through merit. Students need to first feel an admission form and fill thoroughly and then they are selected according to the marks they got in their 10th and 12th from any of the government recognised boards.

Most of the faculties of my department are phd in different fields of optometry and some of them are undergoing their phd research. Every faculty has done specialisation in different fields of optometry.
