Overall very Good

Since the course MBBS was my dream and getting into this prestigious college was very good for me and I can get a chance to serve my society in future, this thing influenced me the most to choose the course. The suggestion for the teaching method is that instead of lectures if SGD (small group discussions) were possible they remain more effective than lectures. If lectures are give the teacher should use a board instead of ppt, this increases the retention of lecture in the class.

The internship in our college is for 1 year and during this year we get a stipend of 13000 per month which is going to increase to 2500 in future. The role of an intern is to assist the PG and consultants on duty. Also, inturns get the opportunity to treat patients which improves their skills and experience and also get the opportunity to intract with consulting surgeons and other higher medical staff.

The collage fee is not that much the complete year by year fee is given below approx. Admission fee :- 34000 First year :- 15000 Second year :- 12000 Prefinal :- 10000 Final :-8000 Hostel fee :- 36000 for whole course Also in internship we get the stipned per month of 13000 Currently I m getting labour scholarship yearly of 50000 Other scholarships available are NSP etc.

There are many fastivals which are going in collage live Holi, eid, Diwali etc. There are other college festivals live annual sports week in which in every sports game live badminton, cricket, football, vollyball, table tennis , basketball etc a tournament is launched and every student can participate in it. There are other festivals like annual day, arranging party to seniors which are about to leave the collage etc. In library most of the books and journals are about the health and medicine. Some classrooms are well bult smart classrooms while others are not that much advanced however the labs in GMC for testing are highly developed due to high patient inflow. Extracurricular activities are very good in GMC be it be sports or cultural everything is at its best. There is a registered social group running in our college named CASS UNION.

The hostel facility is not to much good however there is construction going for new hostel which will be opening soon and we are hoping will get the better room facilities. We have 3 beded room for 3 persons and 3 lockers. The quality of meal is very good. Due to accommodation problems there are less chances of 1 st year student to get the hostel room. Procedure for getting room is you have to take form from hostel manager and take two affidavit for anti-ragging and other purposes . Then submit them in registrars room and after signed from regestrar you have to take it back to hostel manager and he will assign a room. We can take a room in locality also in hotel or as paying gust the rent depends on room and mess facilities and it ranges from 5000 to 10000.

The eligibility of the course is the qualifying marks in NEET examination which are different in each year. But the cutoff for this course in getting the GMC Srinagar is very high which varies from 600-700 for OM students which Is the greatest cutoff in j&k. The application form, application fee, and application dates for neet examination are available on NTA website i.e, nta.nic.in. Details of reservation are also available on NTA website The frequency of NEET is that it is taken once in a year by NTA agency and timing is most probably 2 to 5:20 pm for 3hrs and 20 min. And there are total of 200 questions 50 each from physics, chemistry, zoology,and botany. The exam is not that much difficult but it has a high competition because of less no. Of seats and more no. of participating candidates. The admission process is simple just once selection we have to upload documents online and after varification we have to take the original hard copies to the college administration.

The faculty members which are guiding and teaching us are highly qualified and they have lots of experience. Some faculty are still studying there for post graduation. Some departments have high faculty members like in community medicine and they have high spacing while others have medium faculty members. On an average the faculty to student ratio is approx. 1:20. The low ratio has good impact on studies because the focus on student increases by the teacher and students get more concentrated and vice-versa. Faculty are highly qualified and they have lots of experience and they teach very well .The method is latest according to CBME Guidelines like taking Lectures, SGD , Seminars etc. We can also intract with faculty whenever we want in working hours.
