There is always something like a competition between the different departments which is good as students always participating enthusiastically in events and doing good and other students cheering for them and supporting them.

It is affiliated with Himachal Pradesh University and provides good educational resources plus the faculty here is young, friendly, intelligent and helpful. It is situated in Solan, the weather of this place is nice and cool. They have a uniform so you don't have to waste your time thinking about what to wear every single morning.

Microbiology is a good course for research purpose as we study subjects like general Microbiology, bacteriology, virology, soil Microbiology computer applications, environmental studies, Intellectual property rights and entrepreneurship all are really helpful for research and laboratory work: most important to learn if you want to pursue research.

No. Our college did not provide internships but students can always try for it themselves and college will provide the recommendation letter in the name of the company/industry in which students want to apply.

We have a placement cell in our college which looks after the placement and job opportunities for the students. Various MNC's and Indian companies/industries come here for preplacement and placement drives. our students get a package of 5-6lakhs approximately.

Various events are celebrated in the college like sports week, Hindi Divas, Christmas day, teachers day, children's day, Independence and Republic Day, Holi, pre-Diwali celebrations and foundation day of the college and occasionally different events are also organized in the college like cultural competition of dancing, singing, mime, acting etc.

The fee structure is not feasible but also not so expensive. there are different fee criteria for different courses as for bsc. Microbiology admission fee is 45000Rs. and later its Rs.24000 per semester and for business management courses it is 20000Rs. Admission fee and 18000Rs per semester which can be paid in installments and if a student is not able to pay the fee he/she can request for compensation. Our Vice-chancellor is very generous and understands other's problems.

Scholarships are provided on the basis of merit. The topper of the class gets the scholarship of Rs.2000/month and the student scoring above 95% gets a 75% fee waiver.

Campus life is not so good as their campus area is so small. There are students from different cultures and regions which is nice as students learn about each other's cultures and grow together. Extracurricular activities are organized by the college like cultural competition and sports competition(cricket, table tennis, badminton, football) which enhances the student's skills of teamwork and they gain confidence in themselves.

I didn't live in the hostel but as I know there are different hostels for girls and boys and students have to share rooms. There are 3 students in a room. College provides beds and mattress, cupboards and study tables in the rooms. Food is fine, not homely but the quality is good. The hostel fee for a year is Rs56000. There are geysers in the washrooms and also a common room on each floor with television. Visitors can sit in the common room but are not allowed to enter the student's rooms.

Alumni or seniors are really helpful and friendly. They are always ready to help you in any condition. Seniors had always provided the previous question papers for preparations of exams and notes for study.

Exams are held on the criteria set by the Himachal Pradesh University. For practical exams, external examiner comes from the university to take the viva and theory exams are held in the government Pg college, Solan. For which question papers are set by professors of the university and also checked by professors assigned the Himachal Pradesh University.

I got admission here by direct method after showing that I have scored more than 50% marks in my 12th class and I had to fill the admission form to apply and attach my documents( mark sheets of 10th and 12th, date of birth certificate, migration certificate) attested by myself and my passport size photograph. Later deposited my fees and I got admission.

The faculty is highly qualified to have a Ph.D. and are always there to help students to solve their problems. They are very serious about their course and always prepare well for their lecture so that we can ask our queries about the topic and they will solve it. They regularly take tests and assignments to analyze whether the students are gaining about the subject or not and recommend books of different authors so that we can learn easily.
