- Campus is small compared to the number of departments in the college. hostel and college campus share the same area.
- Exam department is chaotic. Initially they made us wait in huge ques until the college became autonomous.
Course Curriculum Overview
For BA ( PSYCHOLOGY ) the curriculum was appropriate. More audio visual representation can be added to the curriculum. More on ground research opportunities, encouragement for internships and Group activities can make this course even better. Difficulty of exam levels is medium. Teachers provide you with a deeper insight of the important topics long time before the exam. the exams are held around the month of October/ November ( before Diwali ) and in March / April.
Fees and Financial Aid
For open category fees go upto 6000-12000 per annum ( excluding exam fees ). Exam fees are around ?650-850. College has a reservation for different categories such as SC, ST, OBC, EBC, PWD and more. Scholarships are provided to the weaker sections and minorities. The process for applying is simple. Employment opportunities are not available for the BA level but the college encourages field visits.
Campus Life
Overall Campus life is great. They provide you with many amenities such as Sports of different kinds like football, volleyball, basketball and many more and hold inter-collegiate competitions where you can win prizes and get good opportunity to represent yourself. They also participate in different inter-collegiate Karandak competitions which provides and opportunity for displaying your theatre and art skills. They have a seperate kalamandal for that. They also have NCC AND NSS programmes. Talking about infrastructure they provide you with assembly hall, Audio visual hall, almost all classes have projectors and screens and all classes have CCTV surveillance. They have many student clubs. Art club, drama club, debate club, International Relations club and many more.
Admission
For BA PSYCHOLOGY eligibility is having psychology as a subject and passing the subject in your 12th standard. The specialisation begins from the second year. You can find the application form after your 12th in the college office and even online on their website. All important notices and instructions are provided by their website
Faculty
Teachers are great! Absolutely cooperative faculty. Only the HOD is a little strict. But understanding faculty. Even if the student has missed their internal exam, teachers do provide opportunity to re-appear for the exam. Expertise in their subject is highly commendable. They provide us with various case studies and explain the concepts thoroughly. You can easily interact with the faculty and they are available and give response to your messages.
