Course Curriculum Overview

3

The curriculum is the one set by the Government of Karnataka and the semester exams are the board exams conducted by the Bangalore City University. Hence, the curriculum is simple and relevant and there is nothing to worry about

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fee is roughly 55000/- per year which is fixed. Other charges include exam fee which will be around 1000 to 1500 every semester. The total cost of education will come upto 175000/- for the complete duration of the course. No scholarships are awarded and the college doesn't provide internships or placements.

Campus Life

4

There are few clubs and social thinking groups present in the college but the frequency of them functioning is very low. Infrastructure provided is just classrooms with a TV, a library with a huge collection of 16000 books

Admission

The course doesn't have any eligibility criteria, you just have to be a pre-university graduate to get in. Application form can be found on the Jain Group of Institutions Website, Application fee will be around 200rs

Faculty

1.5

Faculty is very unqualified, they are all people working for a livelihood. The main thing is that it really doesn't matter because of the college being an evening college. Students are mainly those who are doing something else important

Placement Experience:

The college offers placement through the COC (Career Opportunities) cell. Students become eligible for placements by the 5th Semester. The companies which come to hire include the Big 4s, (KPMG, Delloite, EY and BCG), Fedral Bank,TCS, etc. Almost 70% of students opt for higher eduaction so the less number of students get placed at the UG level at least. I am personally figuring out which path to choose but I have placement in mind at the end of the degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My specific aspect of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the course is the ACCA along with Bcom. Most importantly the 9 paper exemptions provided that gives flexibility in the context of studying. The curriculum is well corporate and real world oriented. They prepare us on how to face the real corporate world through their curriculum by conducting different seminars and workshops.
