Likes
- I like in my college there is good coding environment like everyone doing coding, development, competitive programming, participating in hackathons etc.
- There is very good mentor that is our seniors mant seniors helped me in to develop interest in coding and also guide how to manage semester exam and classes how to learn things, what you have to give preority and what should skip in academics .
- I also like in my college that there is an opportunity for startups . There is startup and innovation centre that is incubation centre that provides us mentors and many other opportunities startup. It also provides funds if your Idea is good .
Dislikes
- Attendance criteria in my college is 75%. Also I don't like the way that the use professor teach us
- I also don't like the hostel allotment system, there four seater room allotted till 2 nd year in hostel . And also n 3rd year if your cgpa is low then three seater room will be allotted.
- I also don't like the fees submition methods like we have to submit our whole year fees at a time , when new year starts . Even there is no system to submit fees semester wise .
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum in core subjects like mechanical, civil, electrical, ECE and cs are good as GATE poin of view and also for government job preparation like ESE or IES . But for who wants to practical knowledge and industry level knowledge then that is very poor there is klbo such curriculum that gives you industry knowledge and makes you industry ready or job ready. Also for placement it's not relevant.
Placement Experience
In our college placement are decent not much companies visit but mass recruiters like TCS , Wipro , infosis come and also for core branches some company visit. There good placement is chemical engineering in year 2024 in core . For other branches there is not correct company visit only IT companies and marketing company visit. They offer 5-6 lpa in case it's good then it offers 10-12 lpa( highest). Also some year not every year, there come some PSUs also like BHEL etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
In our college for B.tech students there are 8 branches in which 6 regular branches have fees structure same and other two which are self financed branches have different fees structure. The annual fees for regular branches is 89775 for first year and from second, third and final year it is 84775 . And it's 99000 for self financed branches. And hostel fees are 14500 for a year and also 4000 for HMC ( hostel management committee) for a year. Also mess changes are 18000-19000 per semester it varies to hostel to hostel how the mess provideds food. Also there is up scholarship provided us and we get approx 56600 scholarship for OBC and general. Also sometime it varies to 64k. For sc/St scholarship are 90k approx.
Campus Life
Campus Life is good. In our college there are several clubs like dancing, singing, band, dramatic and poetry, and art, photography, robotics, coding, and social club the names of the clubs are insanix, swaranjali, aroras, Josh, excelsior, kalakriti, Mirage, robotics club, fractal, parmarth respectively. These clubs are not much funded by our college some of them are funded and these are operating by students or seniors . Professor and college doesn't involve in this .
Hostel Facilities
There are 8 boys hostel and 3 girls hostels. For first year students ramanujan hostel for boys and sarojini hostel for girls are allotted. These are four seater room. In second year aaryabhat hostel which is four seater, is allotted to second year students. And maitreyi is for second year girls which is three seater( may be). There are two fans one tubelight and one bulb is four seater room and one tubelight one fan in single seater room. And for third year there is 6 hostel A to D block which are single seater and a new hostel kailash narayana hostel which is three seater only for 3rd year is allotted on the basis of cgpa . For third and final year girls Apala hostel.is alloted. For final year students also A-D block hostels are allotted. Each hostel have three bathrooms and 3-5 basin and 3 toilets . The bathrooms are cleaned daily but still not very hygienic. Hostel are too old . It looks like not painted for years.
Admission
Cut-off for IET Lucknow rank is varies from 49-250k if you are general or OBC also it varies for different branches fir cs branch you rank should be below 50k for ECE ,ee and me should be 50-80k and in special rounds it goes very high is seat are vacant it can be 250 - 400k. also for sc St it very high like 400-500k in special rounds . Special rounds starts after internal sliding or after 6th round. The admission in IET is done through upsee councelling. After your jee mains result you can apply for upsee councelling and fill the choice of college and if IET is allotted then you have to submit 20k for freez the seat and after allotment you have to come college and submit remaining fees and documents for addmission as mentioned in allotment letter. And your admission is done .
Faculty
In our college there are very few faculty in some branches. And there need to have more professor. Also there are many contractual faculty come every year and after a year some of them change and some remaining again for a year . In labs there are no any professor gives practical knowledge they just say so experiments your self and complete file that is very bad things even lab assistant don't have enough knowledge so that helped us .
