Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I always wanted to pursue my passion for robotics and Sustainable Power Generation, thatswhy I chose this course. Electrical & electronics Engineering is one of the hardest branch in engineering and after almost completing one year I can say why it is the Hardest! The EEE department of our college is one of the most academically advanced and most active department. There are many changes which were implemented from commencement of 2023-27 batch, like in 1st year we were actually studying the core subjects Like RER, Network Analysis, Power Systems, EMI etc and there respective Laboraties as well, . And I think it will definitely prpare us for real-world applications. More emphasis of pratical learning and project based learnig must be there. We have to go through 3 Mid semster Examinations And Practical examination and then The 'Endsemsters' In a span of 4-5 months we barely get relief.

Fees and Financial Aid

I said that its a Govt. Engineering College so there is no hikes in tution fees and have a very relaxed tution fee policy. The Complete cost of my education including tution fees, service fee, and other compulsory charges will be around 150,000 for the complete duration of 4 years. There are many scholarship provided by govt. like MPTASS Scholarship for students belonging to ST/SC/OBC castes having economically poor background (Anunnal famil income<300,000) and Medhawai Chatra Yojan for students who scores above 75% in 12th standard from MP board, and 85% for student from CBSE background. There are very less campus employment opportunities, there are certain organizations like Ecell, Tnp, Phoenix etc which recruits potential candidates but its usually unpaid.

Campus Life

3.5

After completion of one year, my overall experience with college life is very impressive, or very decent i can say. There are many clubs in the college like a club named "ANNUNAD" which publishes an e-magazine quarterly in a year, and I'm a part of it. E-cell it is a entrepreneurship cell that works in fostering entrepreneurship among students, and each department have there own clubs requiring different sskill sets. The Library of the university is very large, and it possess a range of academic books journals, daily newspaper, weekly and monthly magazines etc. The classrooms are equipped with ACs, Fans, and a projector, also there are smart classes in every department. The sports and extracurricular activities offered on the campus are good, I mean the infrastructure is good but it's not well maintained and lack of sports equipment.

Admission

There are 2 ways to get admission into the college. 1. By JEE MAINS 2. By College Level Counselling Getting admission by Jee Mains is very easy and simple you have to score pretty well like- CSE(92%ile +) IT(90%+) ECE & EE (85%+) MECH (75%+) You have to fill out the form for MPDTE counseling and based on your preferences and rank, you will be alloted the college and branch. I'd prefer dont go after CLC because it is based on 12th % and you are not even aware of which branch you may land. Fill MPDTE form after declaration of the results of Jee mains from the MPDTE website, the application fees is around 1000-1500 and stay tuned with the updates by checking the website at least once a day. There are a lot of reservations for students coming from ST/SC background Like you can get CSE even if you hace 75%ile. Jee mains are conducted every year by NTA in 2 sessions, in Jan and in April.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty-to-student ratio is quite good in core branches like in the electrical department there are around 70 students and there are around 10 professors who teach us different subjects. That means the faculty-to-student ratio is 7:1 which is OK. We are also alloted mentors, who help us in our career development and guide us in dealing with academic and personal problems. The teaching approach is very simple they teach us a concept in class and then we go to labs and perform it. We usually get a lot of opportunities to interact with faculties, like in class while discussing problems and in labs while performing experiments and with our mentors as well.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester onwards. Companies visiting campus are mostly mass recruiters along with a few product-based and mid-level companies. Most students receive an average package of approximately 5-6 LPA, while higher packages are offered to only a few top performers. Few seniors, whom I know got packages of 8.5 LPA, 12 LPA, and 19 LPA also, so basically higher packages are also offered but their competition is high and only some of them can make it up to that. A good percentage of eligible students receive the placement offers, mainlt in IT and service-based roles, but competition remains there, so one needs to have serious preparation on his or her own. Arond 60%+ students got placed every year from on-campuses placements. The placement cell provides training sessions and interview sessions from the third year onwards. Overall, placements can be considered decent compared to other private colleges in the region. Basically, after completing my graduation, I plan to pursue good placement otherwise prepare further for civil services after understanding career growth, however, this is not my final decision but could make a final one before the completion of course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The manit curriculum for mechanical is quite strong in basics and was a major reason i chose this course .It covers core maths ,mechanics ,physics ,electrical and wrskhopa ,which helps for higher studies and exams .Exams are frequent with midsems ,quizzes and endsems;sometimes the schedule feels packed, but it keeps us regular with the syllabus.Difficulty is moderate if you attend classes and practice .Still , some subjects feel outdated and there should be more software , projects and insustry oriented content.

Placement Experience:

Placement record is decent, campus drives happens regularly. If no campus placement is offered then it's obvious one has to struggle a bit more to get a decent job but I beleive the college makes the students capable enough to crack the campus placement if a person really is capable then their is no lack of resources from the college. Even if there is no in campus placement I think everyone has a plan B.
