Course Curriculum Overview

4

The Curriculum for this course is prvided from the University, which is Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow. The Course is meticulously desingned to equip a student with all the necessary tools required to be a decent Computer Science and Engineering Graduate. there are some aspects of the course which need to be look upon once, because they feel kinda outdated now. Teaching methods include both whiteboard and Digital presentations. The college on its own runs a class called TechEdge for all the years, in this class students are tought about technologies such as Machine Learning, Data Science, etc. The goal of this class is to provide a technical edge to students.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

The College provides an opportunity for summer training in the college, which is paid. the name of this summer training is Gyaandeep. College invites some corporate training companies to give training to the students who opt for it. College allows for students to go for internships off campus too, but only in reputed instituions.

Placement Experience

4

Students are given opportunity to sit in the interviews of campus placement drives from the end of 6th semester with the starting of 4th year. Even though it is a third tier College within a third tier city, Decent companies visit the instituition for giving jobs. Some campanies are Trazita Systems, Alobha Technologies, Intellus Direct, Hike Education, Team Zero, etc. the numbers of offers made are also decent. My Plans after completing the degree is to do job for sometimes and then go for MBA.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

The time I enrrolled myself in this course, per year tution fees was 70 thousands, 35 thousands a semster. after which when i was in the second year of my course, fees were hiked for new candidates who were going to enroll in the course, I am not aware about how much but it got hiked. Total cost of my education is somewhere around 4.5 lacs to 5 lacs for the whole 4 years. There is a samaj kalyan scholarship provision which is being offered by state gavenment. This reimburses around 50 thousand ruppes every year if you are deemed eligible for it. Placement office is very helful and is very active in terms of reaching out to the companies for conducting placement drives. average package is around 3.5 LPA to 4 LPA, with the highest being slightly above 11 LPA.

Campus Life

3

There are two major fest that happen in college every year, one is called Buddha Sharad Mahotsav, which usually takes place in oct-nov and the other one is called Buddha Spring Week or Festival which is celebrated in the month of april. During these two fest, various co curricular activities happen which include sports competitions, singing and dancing competition, departmental competitions. both the fests are similar in a lot of ways , the distictive feature is that BSM includes Freshers party (Dyuti) ,whereas the BSF conducts annual function (Horizon). Both fests has a DJ night.

Admission

Earlier the Institution took admissions through UPSEE, which is an entrance exam for engineering courses in UP, but now that has been replaced by JEE. College also takes direct admissions from management quota, but the seat preference is given to the applicant who comes through councelling.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty to student ration is decent, every department have ample amount of faculties. Every faculty has some defined experties on which they take lectures. The minimum qualifiaction for the faculties is Masters with Ph.D being the preferable qualification. There are few faculties with exceptional teaching methods and knowledge, their classes are very engaging, whereas there are also some not so good at teaching faculties, but the helpful nature and mentorship from the faculties compensate that. Approachability of faculties is unmathched, unlike any other instituions I have known, BIT definetly has some edge in making the approachability better.

Remarks:

The infrastructure of our college is of top quality. Facilities like classrooms, Wi-Fi, labs, etc, available in our college are good. Facilities are easily available to students. The library is too good for anyone to sit and study for long hours. Teachers in our college are very helpful, and they are always available to help us. They plan the schedule in a very effective way. Many teachers are PhD holders. They have good knowledge of their subjects, both practical and theoretical. The course curriculum is relevant, and it mainly focuses on what industry demands.
