Likes

The biggest usp of this University is a open farm of benifits if you are have a will gain knowledge all the facilities staffs and mentors are always there to help you with their highend resources
The campus of Chandigarh University is very much mesmerizing especially the south campus block means you can have quite good college life
If you compare the mess food of Chandigarh University its quite better as compared to other colleges and also the food courts and restaurant chains are of the quality of top notch

Dislikes

Some of the rules and regulations are there which can make you feel like you are studying in a school for an example if you are not carrying your id card there will be no entry to the campus,you will have to report at exact time slot given and so on
Everybody knows about this but if you have money everything is possible in Chandigarh University and even the management bends towards the university
Harsh behaviour of security guards,warden and hostel staffs

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is diverse it's a complete packup of all the details required to become a hands on professional there are also some out of the topic subjects remains but it surely helps out when you are putting your steps towards job

Internships Opportunities

University provides very limited opportunity by the name of some 10-12 organisation but getting yourself internship is a must thing so you should from the off campus there are numerous companies mohali phase 8b where you can get in as a intern

Placement Experience

The placements are the biggest scam in Chandigarh University. Let me explain you there are 2 colleges cgc landran,cgc jhanjeri and 1 University Chandigarh University and all three create joint placement scenario. The stats which they show is the addition of all three

Fees and Financial Aid

For B.E computer science engineering (general) tuition fees is 80000/semester and if you want to go for any specialisation cource then it will charge you 100000/semester and now if we talk about hostels it is 86000/year and the vip ones is 125000/year. All these data are of year 2019

Campus Life

You will be having the most successful campus life here in Chandigarh University the campus architecture is just on the apex level well maintained and well managed along with great live shows you will be definitely making memories

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facilities are quite good good. I used to stay there at nekchand towers it was 4 seater hostel. Quite nice spacious with ground floor mess quite overall the hostel facility is nice just the spot on.

Hostel Fee: INR 86000 per year

Admission

There is no eligibility required simply you will be needed to have 50% on 12th to get admission and even though if you are not having that much percentage simply pay little more they will get you cover

Faculty

Well if we take the whole sum of facilty members then only a few are there who actually have diversified deep knowledge but on an average the faculty members have lack of knowledge the passout students becomes the lecturer of the university who are not able to find a job on their field

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

From the second year itself students are eligible for campus placements and the companies right now visited are more than 80 + like Amazon Google Microsoft etc the highest package right now in our college 2.5 crore right now as a fresher more than 80% are getting placements which I can I can see and many used to start they own startups and get success in their field as help you teachers them and give them opportunity to learn and do startups and my plan after getting a degree is if you get a placement and huge packages and get a experience from them and to start my own business

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

I didn't apply to any other college. I chose it because it was close to my home. The admission process to give CUCAT exam for which the fees is 1000 rupees. The passing marks are 40 out of 100.
