Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The curriculum followed at CU is the same as made by the Indian Council of Engineering and I went for a specialization course which is artificial intelligence and machine learning as the college provides multiple specialization courses with up-to-date technology research. The curriculum covers everything for computer science students from DSA to OS to Computer networking. The involvement of other specialization subjects in the AIML course is a topic that needs some improvisation and new teachers should be hired by knowing their best domain and giving them the respective domain. We have 2-MST and 1 final exam .. MST is the best way to prepare for the final exam as it is held unit wise and there are only 3 units for every subject.

Internships Opportunities

4

Companies that provide internship are KPIT , IBM, grey orange, sagacious and multiple others with the stipend range from 10k to 40k. Mostly the internship is for the development role under the name of graduate trainee intern. My project included mostly around machine learning and deep learning like face detection and image colorization

Placement Experience

4.5

From the third year onwards students are eligible for the campus placement. The student has to opt for TPP to be eligible to participate in the college placement process. Companies like KPIT, IBM, TCS, COGNIZANT, Capgemini, and Accenture are the prominent recruiters every year from the college campus. The offer depends widely on the company from 50 to 300. The highest package is 22lpa and the average package is 4lpa. This year due to the recession the placement percentage dropped to 25%. I have been selected in KPIT and I'll join the company after completing college.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fees are 95k per semester and examination fees are 2k per month which makes it 97k per semester. The fee hike for new admission is 10% every year and it is not for the students who have taken the admission earlier. The total cost of tution fees for the whole degree is 8 lakh. The hostel fee is 1 lakh per year which includes food and gym. The college also provides transportation services for the day scholars.

Campus Life

4.5

We have multiple events and fests every year. The cu fest is the biggest fest which is conducted twice every year and the Holi event is also widely celebrated as a fest. Extracurricular events like dance and singing competitions also occur. Sports events like cricket, wrestling, badminton, and soccer are occurring for all India University. Students are given the opportunity to participate in every sport. NCC and nss clubs are widely used.

Admission

Eligibility is 80% in both 10th and 12th for the specialization course and 70% in 10th and 12th for the general CSE course. The application form is available on the college site and the application date is from June to August. The university conducts an exam through which it gives scholarships to the students and it is the best way to reduce the tution fees. It also gives scholarships on the basis of 12th marks and jee marks of anyone doesn't take the scholarship exam. The admission process is very smooth and best for the student's expectations.

Faculty

3

The faculty-to-student ratio is good and there are enough faculty to meet the student's expectations about their issues in any department. It is above above-average learning experience with the efforts of facilities. Most of the faculties are well educated and knowledgeable about their domains and allow students to ask any questions as they are always ready to provide the solution. They conduct surprise tests and quizzes to assess the students. The teachers are available all the time during college hours even during lunchtime and we can interact through online modes as well as in person by visiting their cabin

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.
