Likes

Faculties and professors are quite friendly and they are always available for you to help you
Placements are quite good as college tries to invite as many company as they can

Dislikes

College to many students during admission over the limit which cause ruckus during college hours
Too many students in single classroom and very few teachers available for them
Sandhya lot of students in the college day space in hostels and college are limited because the area is not so biglimited

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose to study this course and also I found it interesting. This curriculum help me to gain the experience of real world application and also teaches how can we apply it in future. Some teachers use PPTs to teach students which I hate very much, teacher should teach them by the experience and knowledge. Exams are very good, that is no need for changes in timing and frequency. There is two mid term exams per semester of 1 hour and one final exam of 4 hours.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 160000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

When I took the admission in college, the fees for computer science engineering was 80000 per semester but if you got 70% above in class 12 then you will get 10% scholarship, if you got 80% above then you will get 20% scholarship and in my case I got 90% above in class 12 so I got 50% scholarship, means my semester fees 40000. Besides scholarship, college also provides financial aids through loan for students. I have heard that college provide employment and stipends to those students who are studying Masters.

Campus Life

My overall college experience and campus life was quite good. Other major festival is freshers party. Library is quiet big and maximum books are available for students. Smart classes are quite technological and faculties can use it properly. There are many sport activities also and every week there are some technical festivals like hackathon, etc. there are some clubs also and the one club which I join was coding club.

Admission

Since I took the admission during covid-19 so all the admission process was online, there were no physical process. Eliability for this course is 60% above in class 12 and to find application form, application fees and application dates you have to go through there websites. No I haven't heard about any reservation benefits but recently someone told me that SC ST people get some scholarship.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is not good there are lot of students in one class but only one or two teacher for them. Teachers and mentors are always ready to help students anytime , students can contact then through their mobile number or their college email IDs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

From the second year itself students are eligible for campus placements and the companies right now visited are more than 80 + like Amazon Google Microsoft etc the highest package right now in our college 2.5 crore right now as a fresher more than 80% are getting placements which I can I can see and many used to start they own startups and get success in their field as help you teachers them and give them opportunity to learn and do startups and my plan after getting a degree is if you get a placement and huge packages and get a experience from them and to start my own business

My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.
