I think the college is overall okay as it provides with a lot of opportunities other than academics

Dislikes

The management there is not so good. Even with a small discrepancy there will be lot of problems to face

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is good I would say from 3rd year because before that they will teach you basic stuff that all other colleges had like Computer Networks , Operating system , basics of data structure and algorithms but after 3rd year they will give questions of leetcode to solve and there will be camps as well for techinal as well as soft skills.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 180000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The internships opportunities that college provides is quite good . The companies come to visit our college for internships from starting of third year and some companies will come for placement too. If you get good in the internships you can get the PPO too.

Placement Experience

College placement is actually quite good I would say . The placement team of CU put lot of efforts to bring the companies for the placement . The only thing you have to do is study and prepare for it because there will be lot of competition because there will many students who will take part in campus placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is quite like all other private colleges but the good thing is that they provide scholarship on the basis of CUCAT that is their admission test and anyone can score good there with few things to keep in mind and you will get a good scholarship amount . But to continue the scholarship you will have to maintain 7.5 CGPA at the end of every even semester.

Campus Life

Campus life is pretty good and chill. The campus here is very large and well maintained they spend lot of money for the campus to look good. Campus includes all types of amenities that a University has to offer . Like basketball court , football ground , cafeteria , hostels and many more

Admission

The admission process was quite simple you just have to register yourself through their website and they will contact you and you will have to sit for CUCAT scholarship exam and If you score good you can get good scholarship.

Faculty

The faculty members are average . Some of the teachers have high qualifications but it is based on Luck that they will teach you . Like all other colleges other than IIT's and NIT's you will have to study by yourself mostly.

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

From the second year itself students are eligible for campus placements and the companies right now visited are more than 80 + like Amazon Google Microsoft etc the highest package right now in our college 2.5 crore right now as a fresher more than 80% are getting placements which I can I can see and many used to start they own startups and get success in their field as help you teachers them and give them opportunity to learn and do startups and my plan after getting a degree is if you get a placement and huge packages and get a experience from them and to start my own business

My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

I didn't apply to any other college. I chose it because it was close to my home. The admission process to give CUCAT exam for which the fees is 1000 rupees. The passing marks are 40 out of 100.
