Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is good but sometimes they add some courses which are of no use. Apart from this some teacher only read ppt and does nothing. Some teachers are hardworking to teach student but some only read ppt even one teacher that i met do nothing ( nothing means nothing).

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 260000 per year

Internships Opportunities

12 companies has arrived for internship in past 3 months. You are allowed to do internship only after 5th semester that is 2 and half year later means when you are in 3rd year. If you got good internship then only they allow you for outside internship.

Placement Experience

Due to recession the frequency of companies is reduced. But the companies are visiting the campus and you have to be skilled to get placed. Till now 15 companies had arrived in past 2 months. Average package till now is 7.5 lakh approx.

Fees and Financial Aid

This is the best part of chandigarh university. If you really learn or study hard you will earn scholarship. I also owe scholarship and this is my last year and scholarship is continued. I got 50% scholarship in semester fee.

Campus Life

There are many libraries but only few remains open after 4 pm, which leads to more and more rush in the library, you have to occupy seats in between the classes, like put some notebook or something. Sports - good Club - average

Admission

You can take admission by giving cucet exam to earn scholarship. Apart from cucet exam you can take admission directly by visiting cu admission department. If you are jee mains qualified with 90 percentile or got more than 90% in 12th then you don't have to give cucet exam you will directly get 50% scholarship.

Faculty

1.5

Teachers are not trained properly, teacher to student ratio are very low. Even you perform good they won't give you marks in internal, they will say that we have guidelines from higher authority that not to give marks. Apart from this all things are good. Highly secured, no entry without I'd card. If you are in discipline guard will be very friendly and helpful.

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

From the second year itself students are eligible for campus placements and the companies right now visited are more than 80 + like Amazon Google Microsoft etc the highest package right now in our college 2.5 crore right now as a fresher more than 80% are getting placements which I can I can see and many used to start they own startups and get success in their field as help you teachers them and give them opportunity to learn and do startups and my plan after getting a degree is if you get a placement and huge packages and get a experience from them and to start my own business

My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.
