Rajasthan university offers great opportunities to pursue career in veterinary science. After the degree one has various scopes such as veterinary doctor , private clinics and assistant professors etc

Course Curriculum Overview

There are 3 internal exam in a year out of which best 2 are counted after that annual examination occurs . Weightage of internal examination + practical is 60 markd and weightage of annual examination is 40 marks

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 6340 per year

Internships Opportunities

Government hospitals , bikaner government college ,udaipur government collge , jaipur government college and various goshalas and zoos . The main role offered is to treat amimals and the students also go to tours in various universities like NDRI and IVRI for college visit

Fees and Financial Aid

Total fees for government seat is 6340 per year and for payment seat it is 3 lakhs per anmum . Stipend in the internship is 25k per month and in post graduation it is 10k per month and government give scholarships to poor students who are below poverty line

Campus Life

There is a sports week which occurs once in a year and various culutural programs are organised in the college . Inter university college meets are also organised it is SPOCUL . There are 20k books in the library. Various clubs and societies are there in the college and veterinary association is also there which solves the problems of students

Admission

The admission in thr university was done on the basis of neet examination . Application form are available on the official website of rajuvas university. The counselling sytem is very slow it needs improvement.

Faculty

On 100 students there are 2 teachers in each subjects and may be more in successive classes . Subject teachers are very cooperative in nature . They help you to learn skills and and teach numerous things in practical and theory classes

Previously veterinary had a semester pattern. Now, it's a yearly pattern with a total of 4 exams each year. 3 internal exams and 1 external exam. Many profs prefer ppts but the best ones give handwritten notes and make you write in class without relying too much on tech.

Course curriculum is good, in the first year itself the students need to indulge with the field practices like feeding restraining and in the physiology subject, blood tests and all make us feel that we are becoming doctors and will treat animals who can't even speak The frequency of exams are every 2 months and they are not that difficult. Life at ACVM

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Vsc and AH is a five and a half year unndergrad program, in which you will study about the animal, their diagnosis, treatment, nutrition, genetic development and what not. You will study about Ruminants, Dogs, Cats Horses, Birds, Lab Animals as well as Captie wild animals also. You will be facing three internal exams along with externals. They can be tough but the trick is learning, sitting for tests and revision. This program may seem easy but it is more tough and complex than any other medical program, as you will be dealing with multiple animal species at a time.

I didnot apply for any other colleges as i was mostly interested in being a veterinary doctor since my 10th and i was prepared for the NEET exam. So my target was to get into a veterinary college. Since i didn't get to any other colleges, i didn't get rejections over there. I got a college according to my NEET allotment. Admission process in the college is through NEET exam and Rajasthan state exam for Medical students for their state quota and 30% for management seats. Eligibility is 50% for 12th grade with 2nd group science with biology, chemistry and physics. The cutoff of NEET was nearly 590 marks in All india quota according to NEET 2024.
