Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

To be very honest, the course subjects arent very helpful as it focuses on the mugging up method only which is not that helpful for future insights as we lag practical knowledge over there. I came into the course as i myself was finding myself interested in coding but due to assignments and exams happening every other week it becomes difficult to manage it all. The difficulty level is moderate but due to the frequency we lag on the coding section. The college is not able to focus more on practical areas. However they are training us for 9 to 5 sittings but the course isnt really helpful for real world perspective.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Recently accenture offered internship for around 1lac not very sure about the stipend. Projects reagrding web development and java are preferred. Accenture offered soft dev intern. Microsoft also offered internship to around 4 atudents for 3 months and the stipend was 2.5 lac. Virtual internships are usually provided by the college through certifications from cisco, accenture, infosys etc.

Placement Experience

3

Students are prepared for the placements from 5th sem onwards. Training and placement dept provides classes for the placement drive. Students can sit in campus from 7th sem. Acc to the latest reports the highest package was 19.5lpa and average was 7lpa. Around 50% students get placement every year also students apply for off campus drive if not placed from college and college doesnt provide assistance for that in major cases. I would be opting for job only. The company which provided highest package was duetsche bank. Other companies that visit are wipro, infosys, sap, cognizant, persistent, quantiphi and many more.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees keep increasing every other year. Like us, you are paying 1.25 lac per year. Also, we have to choose between a campus hostel or a bus, which is 1 lac per annum and 16k per annum, respectively. There's no option and safety for our personal vehicle. They ask us to pay for literally everything, like even if we lose the strap of our ID card, we have to even pay for it. The placement ratio is kinda ok; The total cost of my education is around 12 lakhs, including college, hostel, and bus fees. They charge for extra activities but never make anything happen, like fests and all. No specific scholarships are provided; only those given by the government are. College provides twf on the basis of jee results only.

Campus Life

4

The college doesnt provide with much fests and all but is always focused on hackathons and coding events. They have their incubation center where student can work on startups and clubs. I personally have worked with 2 startups and gained precious experience and also internship certificates. They also have various clubs like the environment, music, dance, code and all. A student run ngo is there named RAHAT which focuses on developement of students from the rural area who cant afford much education and all. The library consists of appropriate books in almost every field required and can be accessed easily through the library card. Sports competitions are being held regularly and almost everyone is given opportunity to involve in the same. Fests like srishti and tech fest by planet engineers keep occuring. Majorly coding fests and hackathons are done.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostels are clean and well maintained. The food is average and also the menu keeps changing througout the week. Registration for hostels can be done during the admission process only. Girls can opt for college hostel for like the whole course duration but boys are allowed to live in the campus hostel for 1st year only. I opted for pg outside the campus in well populated area as the campus hostels are located in campus only and availability of things is almost nil there. Also we rarely get transport facility from campus to the city. The college hostels are way too strict specially for girls as they dont even allow to go out after 7pm. The charges are somewhere around 1 lac per annum which may increase if u opt for single or ac rooms.

Admission

I took admission based on the jee main exam. There is also a cet exam for admission in LNCT. Theres some profit for the obc and sc st students. We have to go to the college for the registration and whole admission procedure which is such a mess as it is like a fish market and nothing is very organised. Semesters are done in every 4 to 5 months in between there exist many assignments tests and twice mid sem exams are taken every semester. Admission process should be switched to online as people coming from different states find it difficult to appear for everything offline. We got admission through mpdte counselling which had something like 2k registration fees. Eligibility is like a fixed percentile for jee main and marks in 12th boards.

Faculty

4

The faculties are well educated and also well behaved. Most of them are having phd in their respective subjects and also having good experience of teaching. Most of them are very enthusiastic about teaching and passionate about their subjects and also hold good knowledge over it. Also they allow the students to access them whenver they want even after the college hours many of them allow students to contact them through calls or texts in case of any need. Apart from the academic thing the faculties are very helpful for any sort of personal guidance or help if needed. I myself faced such situation where my mentor helped me get through some rough phases without me lagging behind in studies. Also apart from the course the faculties provide us with knwoledge for projects and learning which ultimately will help us gain experience for future endeavours. Nonetheless, it varies from faculties to faculties and students to students about on what terms they are. Mine is a good experience overall.

Other Applied Colleges

Oriental Institute of Science and Technology - [OIST] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

Because the placement ratio was very less also the faculties and management was poor.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the course curriculum as quite relevant and well-structured. Most subjects are updated according to current industry needs. The faculty also puts effort into explaining topics with practical examples instead of just theory which I genuinely appreciate for there hard work The curriculum covers both core concepts and modern technologies which actually helps in preparing for internships and further needs and i choose Artificial intelligence because it is latest and the future is in ai and everyone somewhere related to artificial intelligence and so i decided this course for my furture safe and good future
