University has a lush green campus with a fountain

Dislikes

Majority of teachers are less experienced
Libraries are overcrowded ,sometimes you can not find any place to sit in breaks.
In my opinion courses are overpriced ,not worth in faculties they are given

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum is decent in my view ,they are teaching subjects that is important for feild ,but also some teaching not so important thing like gender equity . Also i suggested that there should be one mid sem test rether two in one sem ,because in the 3 month semester two mst take lot of time

Internships Opportunities

A good number of companies came in campus to provide placements by arranging different placement drives .in my knowledge internship are not provided in campus ,you have to find internship for themselves outside the campus.faculties help students to make their projects .

Placement Experience

University provide campus placements .placements drives are start at the end of third year .according to the university avg package is aprox 5 lacks . as per the data in year 2023 very less no. Of students are get placement aprox 400 students which is very low as compared to 2022 which is aprox 2000.

Fees and Financial Aid

My course fee is 108000 per semester ,it is bit overpriced in the teaching facilities they are providing. Also there are some extra charges like for placement training course you have to pay extra 10000 and it is necessary if you do not take it you are not allowed to sit in placement drives.yes tere are scholarship also on the basis of cuet exam .

Campus Life

Cu Fest are organized periodically in campus .there are good amount of material in library but some time libraries are overcrowded. Class rooms are simple as a normal collahe have. Classrooms are non air conditioned with simple white board and a projector which always need a person to start it by standing on desk .

Admission

Admission process is very easy . i can not face any issues while taking admission in university. There was a entrance test CUET on the basis of maks of cuet exam you get scholarship. I think any onyone who has more than 60 percent in 12th can take admission .

Faculty

Some faculty are good ,they their 100% in teaching .but teachers are doing formality. Also their are many things in curriculum that are not very necessary so that teachers also doing formalities in teaching them.

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

From the second year itself students are eligible for campus placements and the companies right now visited are more than 80 + like Amazon Google Microsoft etc the highest package right now in our college 2.5 crore right now as a fresher more than 80% are getting placements which I can I can see and many used to start they own startups and get success in their field as help you teachers them and give them opportunity to learn and do startups and my plan after getting a degree is if you get a placement and huge packages and get a experience from them and to start my own business

My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

I didn't apply to any other college. I chose it because it was close to my home. The admission process to give CUCAT exam for which the fees is 1000 rupees. The passing marks are 40 out of 100.
