Course Curriculum Overview

4

There isn't really anything about the course that this college has control over. Since NMC has made it mandatory to follow their adviced methods, the College only has the freedom in providing that very method in an efficient way. That said, the College does provide it all in an efficient way. The ward duties that start from 2nd year give you real world clinical experience very early in your studies. You can easily combine your theoretical knowledge with clinical aspects and enhance your course experience. I'd that the time we are required to spend in college throught a day be reduced by at least an hour or so, since the time we are left with for self studies isn't very adequate. The exams are fairly frequent, in first year you have an exam almost every month, which mentally keeps you prepared throughtout the year, and in 2nd year you have an exam in almost every 3 months. The difficulty is not a lot. It's fair level, given we are going to be doctors.

Internships Opportunities

3

You have to mandatorily join the College hospital for a year, as an intern, after completion of course. This is an NMC rule so it's the same everywhere. Other than this there are no internship opportunity.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tution fee has increased this year to 11,55,000/- which makes it 52 lac for the whole course (4.5 years). But this is not allowed there are separate fee for hostel and some miscellaneous fee which makes it a total of around 80 lac for the whole course. There is no fixed fee increase policy. There are scholarship chances where if your family has BPL card you can get the whole tution fee excused. (not hostel and other fee) After final year there is a mandatory 1 year of internship with a stipend. But no other source of campus employment.

Campus Life

2.5

This is where the College lacks. It doesn't have much social aspects. There is no club involvement. The infrastructure is great and is still being expanded. We have a good tennis court, basket ball court and gym. Which is enough to kill leisure time. There are football and cricket matches held here time to time. So if you are a cricket or football freak you'll enjoy it.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel is very good. It is spacious. We only have the option of 2 people per room. But since the rooms are spacious, it's not a problem. we have 24 hours electricity with Fully working air conditioner at all times. There is washroom attached in every room. The meal is bad. The mess food is not really any different from what most students around the country get.

Admission

You are eligible after getting the passing marks in meet. But there is completion to get into it. There is 50% reservation for muslims. The cut odd changes every year. But generally if you have above 400 marks in neet you will be able to get in. The admission process is mostly through government mediated councelling process. So colleges role isn't much. After allotment of college you have to reach here and give the documents, submit the fee and fill the form to get admission. Admission process is relatively easy and not really much headache.

Faculty

4

The faculties here are very highly qualified without a doubt. 90% of the faculties are doctors and the rest are Msc and PhDs. The faculty to student ratio is pretty good, even too much sometimes. Their approach to teaching is pretty helpful. They don't just give lecture and leave, they interact with you and try to make you memorise it all at once. If you have any doubts they are welcoming of you to ask them in their respective offices. Their doctor's background enables them to teach with examples of their first hand clinical experiences, which are really helpful. Interactions with teacher is very easy here, you could just enter the department and shoot your questions to them. They are very approachable. The post graduates who teach usnduring our ward duty are just like your elder sibling/ friend who wants your best results. Overall, I'd say this college excells in this category of faculties.

The frequency of exams is a headache to be honest . There is 1 semester coming up within every 4 to 5 weeks which makes it stressful for us. Moreover the teaching methods are decent. This course is indeed a challenging one!

Course Curriculum Overview:

As a medical college, it always has an environment of focus and consciousness. I have chosen MBBS because I want to be a focused student in my life. I want a disciplined life, which is also a beauty of this course. MBBS develops you as a sincere - sensible and soft personality. In each department of our college, there are 3 to 4 teaching and non-teaching staff and our batch strength is of 170 students and there are totally more than 15 departments in MBBS course, so now you have an idea about the faculty Nad student ratio of our college. Faculty members are excellent in every department of our college be it the Undergraduate department or postgraduate department they are well qualified and renowned and they are great doctors too, they have wonderful art and experience of producing successful doctors. As a medical college, here 1st priority is study and assessment of students so exams are on time and obviously it has a difficult curriculum, which needs lots of hard work and dedication.
