Location of the college was at the main center of city
Avaliablity of park and malls at commute distance
Transport connectivity was good and parking was avaliable.

Dislikes

Zero placements opportunity available for all courses
Campus is too much small, no playground or place to relax
Exams are conducted late,sometime it takes 1 year to held another exam

Course Curriculum Overview

Course is good but not for industry. If you want to go for higher studies or preparing for govt exam then only go for this course. Course curriculum is good and it will help you if you want to go for MBA. Exams are pretty much delayed, none of the exam are done on time

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 30000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure is little bit complex time. It usually cost around 6k for every semester and one time registration fee. You need to pay payment on chancellor portal and every payment is done on kolhan university's website

Campus Life

There are pretty much extra ciricullar activities are conducted like NCC, Earth Day, etc but there are no college fest held. There is a good library available in campus, we usually borrow books for studies and I haven't bought any books in 3 years

Admission

Admission process was very complex. You need to make an ID on kolhan university's chancellor portal and make payment there. You can find application form online on college website. If they would make easy the admission process it would be very good

Faculty

3.5

College faculties are well qualified with B.Ed and PhDs, although classes are not interactive. We need to go to teacher to ask for solutions. Teachers are quite hepfull and friendly. There are quite lot faculties available for mentorship.

Great campus life in Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

Okay, the course curriculum in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness is very specific with the subjects that you Learned in this course. It prepares students for real-world applications and further academic pursuits. They teach you cost accounting, financial management, and HRM, which are very important in companies. The improvements can be done in the course curriculum and teaching methods that infuse real-life examples and also practical Questions and practical Situations to make student Corporate ready And you have to do an industrial visit so that students can know How Real life Actual Company works.

I choose Bcom because I have interest in the accounting sector , it helps me in the real life , currently I am working in the accounting sector . The exams timings was not much good, It has to be improved, the 1 st sem exam was held after 1 year of admission and afterthat next sem was taken earlier.

A focused and affordable education hub

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum of guru nanak College dhanbad is quite good and revelant as per the university pattern .it covers both theoretical and practical knowledge which helps in understanding the subject deeply .the syallabus is updated time to time according to latest trends, which makes it useful for higher studies and competitive exam also. The subject are arranged in a proper way semester wise so students don't feel much pressure .exam are held regularly,mostly at the end of each semester and internal tests are also taken for practice.the difficult level of exams is moderate,not very hard if you study regularly

Placement Experience:

Students from semester 3 are eligible to sit for campus placement. There are even some companies which ask for fresher where student of any semester can apply. The specialised course like CA CS MBA has more placement opportunities. Many companies visits like GARNIER, TCS, GOVERMENT COMPANY _JHALSA. recently around 20 Students are selected in TCS with pacakage of INR 3Lakhs . There is no percentage requirements. Every particular can sit for campus placements. It depends on their skill and ability to impress the interviewers so that they can be placed. Basically there is Group discussion(GD) round and personal interview (PI)round which after qualifying one can get placed in the companies.

A Modest College Life , Learning & Limitations

Placement Experience:

This College provides campus placement, but only a few companies come, only 2 or 3. From the 5th or 6th semester, students are eligible for the campus placement. The average package of my college is 3.57 LPA & the highest is 7 LPA. My plan is to appear for banking after completion of my degree.

Life at karim city college jamshedpur

Actually I applied only for this college because it is nearer from my home and actually this college is quite famous in my hometown and i didn't apply in another college because this is kolhan university and the education is good in this college. Karim City College. An Affordable Option for Mass Comm Aspirants

The most important factor was the affordability compared to other colleges including within-state colleges as well as Inter-State colleges. Also, the Faculty was very inclusive as I took last-minute admissions and they were happy to take me in. The admission process was fairly easy they took the mandatory marksheets of Std 10th and 12th also the Aadhar Card and Parental Details and the fees were paid in Cash. Later after the payments I was provided with the prospectus and Other Information.
