Campus life and Academic Excellence at Amity University Rajasthan

The specific aspect of my course is its interdisciplinary nature that stands at the combination of computer science as well as biotechnology. So this opens a wide array of opportunities for me. Our teaching is done mostly application based that is industry relevant so that makes the course curriculum very apt. A bit more focus over coding aspect could improve the curriculum. Less time could be spent over the theory and more could be focused over practicals for hands on training. The exams occur twice in each semester. The one in mid of semester that is mid-term exams covering the half of the syllabus and the end-term exams after the completion of the semester that covers all the topics taught all over the semester. The difficulty level is intermediate making it apt for all kinds of Students.

The students get eligible for placement after completion of 6th semester. Many good famous companies have visited our college for placements. According to previous records 100% placements for Bioinformatics students have taken place.

The fees is taken semester wise .The tuition fee is increased around ten thousand every year that is five thousand each semester. The complete cost of the whole degree will be around 10 lakhs which when bifurcated gives 8 lakhs for college fee and 2 lakh for ither expenses like bus services or hostel services. Amity University provides scholarships to students having a good percentage in 12th boards . Students with above 93% score in major subjects are eligible to avail 100% scholarship. With a score of 85 to 93% you can avail 50% scholarship. And students having 80 to 85% can avail 25% scholarship. This scholarship is given for the first year of you degree and you can continue this by keeping up your academic performance. The campus placement records have been 100% for Bioinformatics students with an average package of 6 lakhs.

The annual fest of Amity University Rajasthan Is Odyssey consisting of multiple events and competitions. Multiple student manged clubs like E-Cell, IEEE-AUR are there which organise their individual events and hackathons providing opportunities to students. Other co curricular groups like dance clubs, fashion clubs, official band is also there proving an overall holistic development of Students. The library is filled with a sea of books proving a multiple options.

Eligibility criteria was a minimum of 75% in 12th boards passed with PCB stream. Application form is available over the university's official website. I don't know about the reservation benefits. The process of admission was very smooth with a continuous assistance of the executives of admission cell.

The teachers at my department are highly qualified with a great knowledge. They always motivate me to grow and never stop learning new things. Highly complex topics are easily simplified by them . It is very easy for us to approach the teachers and ask any queries and take thei guidance . They are always available to support us. They keep on updating for every new upcoming opportunity under their knowledge. They try to organise various seminars and workshops also for the student's development.
