Course Curriculum Overview
The communicative English course at CMS College. Kottayam offers a detailed study in journalism, mass communication and English literature in the first semester: we would go through a detailed study in English literature and points and introduction towards journalism and communication and in the second and the third semesters, we will be going deeply through English literature and communication in the fourth and the fifth CM it is quite interesting to know more about journalism and mass communication and at the end of the fifth semester there is a compulsory internship of one month in reputed media organisations and finally the 6 sem completely consist of subjects in English literature expect one which is OJT, (on the job training) The to submit a detailed report as well as a presentation and the surveillance of an external teacher and the departmental faculties.
Internships Opportunities
The Department of communicative. English, offers a compulsory internship of one month in media fields, such as print, media news, media radius et cetera. Since the Internship is very much come compulsory for each students to attend its offer. A wonderful experience for the students which gain them knowledge in journalism, mass communication very properly and the learnt aspects from the department could be very much applied in each internship by each intern and the final project. That should be submitted in the six semester which gains you much marks to increase your CGPA is quite impressive as well.
Placement Experience
Placement cell of the college works pretty good, but not the best to suggest the placement department of CMS college is comparatively not good as of the department, the faculty the education system and fee structure. The placements offered which are very few in number is in reputed organisations with a limited package of 25,000rs
Fees and Financial Aid
According to the reputation of CMS College, Chem. The fee structure of the department is quite feasible and considering the department as a self financing one, the fees is normal. As the department is offering three courses that is journalism, mass communication and English literature, compare to many other colleges offering the same course the fee structure of CMS college is quite interesting.

CMS college, got being a a wonderful campus which is very much nature, friendly and attract students towards it and the camps as also been allocation for many Malayalam movies like classmates, bodyguard, etc Being very honest, Many students approach CMS college inspired through the movies and the nature of CMS college. The college provides a very academic friendly atmosphere overall with no restrictions and dressing and also with a wonderful faculty members to each department who are very well qualified forgiving a great education for their children and the faculty members that CMS college also possesses wonderful attitude towards the students and open to friendly conversations as well.
Hostel Facilities
me being not a part of the hostel at CMS. College doesn't know much more about the hostel College and its facilities. but being a person who stayed in a nearby hostel, which provided me with wonderful facilities and has a good food menu was quite impressive.
Admission
The admission procedure was completely based on the mark scored in 12th standard and also application for Cultural quotas are open. And same as college, being a college, which gives more important to sports as well, helps you gain in admission or seat with your excellence in sports and cultural activities activities.

The faculty members of communicative. English department at CMS College,Kottayam is very friendly and helps us in all aspects of our life and college. gifts, right amount of advice and helps in improving academically and supports you in your skill development as well. teachers also are qualified to educate children in the department. teachers are open to friendly conversations and interactive functions organised in the department. due to the limitation of number of seats and the department. Teachers will have a connection with all the students in a class and helps us throughout the year course provided.
