Likes

Well infrastructured, the faculty is very good. The administration put emphasis on students development
Student centered curriculum, well behaved and helpful teachers
The teaching and non-teaching staffs are co-operative

Dislikes

The medium of instruction could be improved
Only 2 multiple purpose halls which is very small in size
No specific playground,the space whereone plays also use for parking cars

I always had interest in the field of education and want to study further in this field. The course curriculum need input of practical thigs so that the students can relate and apply those principles in real life situations.

Fees and Financial Aid

I didn't get and scholarships schemes from this college hence I don't have any idea regarding this. However, this college provide me with small courses which they provide certificate after completion. The cost of education in this college is decent.

Campus Life

Celebration of different festivals and occasions takes place in this college. Books kept is library must be upgraded. The books on education are very less in number and are less helpful. Books regarding Educational technology are very less in number which I think need improvement. Classrooms are well organized but the environment behind this college is crowded with need fixation.

Admission

Students having 50% is eligible and can apply through the website of Pandu College. Reservation is avail to only minor castes students. No application fee is charged it is free of cost. Frequency is good and exams are conducted according to the psychological sequence of students.

The faculties are experienced. They should focus on inclusive education. Must clear doubts and must sometime use english as medium of instruction. The faculties must upgrade themselves according to the changing methods of teaching and must expertise in technology.

My thoughts about my college

Likes

Faculty members of our college is very good
The thing i like that teacher in our college use projector to teach us
In our college, the students get to join various seminars, which college authorities provide us with time to time

Dislikes

The main thing which i disliked about our college is that our college campus is small if you compare it with other colleges
In our college we dont have clean toilets, and the toilets smells very bad
The next thing is that there were various construction going on in our college so for now thr college environment is healthy enough for a student to perform

Course Curriculum Overview:

As i want to appear for civil services examinations in future, so for me political science subject is helpful for my future career, in our department out faculty trach us in a decent manners, but there are some improvements needed with time

I was interested in political and it influenced me set my decision to choose this course. The curriculum was good enough to prepare me for further academics. The frequency and timings of exams are regular. The difficulty of the exams depends on the student's preparations

Likes

I liked the overall environment of our college
My department (Geography) Faculty members are very good.
The teachers not only help in academics but also guide us for our better well-being.

Dislikes

Construction is going on in the college campus.
Though it has gain the autonomous tag still didn't get any such benefit.
The toilets are very unhygienic and have very bad odour.

Our course is very easy to understand anyone who is new to this branch or doesn't have any idea about geography can easily understand the topics through the guidance of our faculty members. They provide extra classes for better understanding of the students.

When I saw a professor doing the hypnotize process. The curriculum activities are much help to the future or the present generation. For the course curriculum, it is huge so deep explanation is required. No problem in this aspect.

I like the way the teachers of our department interact with us. They are very friendly. The campus is very good. We had sitting place for students to sit and relax when they don't have classes. We had a good playground.
The students of silapathar college are quite wonderful, friendly, helpfull.

Dislikes

Things I don't like about my college is , the principal of our college is quite rude, doesn't interact with the students. He don't even allow to enter to his office.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose English literature because I want to study literature, wants to study more about people. In our department there are very few students, 60% are girls and 40% are boys. We had four teachers in our department, namely, DR. PUBALI BORA KASHYAP (Qualification: M.A, Ph.D., UGC- NET), PREM PRASAD SHARMA (Qualification: M.A, M.PHIL), Gitima Deka (Qualification: M.A., M.PHIL), Raju Pegu (Qualification: M.A, M.PHIL). The teachers take tests continuously.

For admission, anyone who has passed his/her 10+2 in any stream can apply by going to the online admission portal(website) but at the time of mine, there was no such facility so We use to go college and apply directly by filling the form(paper-based).

Remarks:

Overall, I'd say college is very good. It is one of the finest colleges in the state. I came from elsewhere to study at this college and I don't regret my decision. I made many new friends and now I am used to the environment so it will be difficult for me to leave this place.
