Biotechnology in Dayanand college ,hisar

The course I choosed is bsc biotechnology .Dayanand college provides the best curriculum for this course in hisar and nearby areas.The presence of labs with well equipments influenced my decision to take this course in this college There is good management in course curriculum and specific course realated additional courses have also been started by the college to provide great indepth knowledge in particular field .Teachers are friendly with equipments ,helping students to learn more easily .Improvement should be done in areas of lab management ,as chemicals are expired and out of use sometimes .Teaching method is excellent .Exams are held once in a semester and unit exams are also conducted timely .A semester includes two unit test of each subject and assignments .

Internship opportunities are provided by the college ,many reputed biotech companies such as rapture did approach and students are placed based on their qualities .Different projects are assigned to students in order to enhance their thinking skill and their ability to complete the task .In zoology and botany ,herbarium sheets ,reports on visits ,are assigned to each student .Research programmes have also been initiated to help students .Even the passed out students ,opting further degree can perform their research in college . campus with the help of teachers .

The placement opportunities are good .Sixth semester students are eligible for placement opportunities.Private banks ,private laboratories ,private companies visits college and highest package depends on the abilities and streams .In BTECH,the highest package gone around is 9 lakhs .10 percent students are get placed .In case of no placements ,the college also provided career initiative along with the government college with the help of EKARMA. INDIA .This provided additional skills such as graphic designing,digital marketing to interested students .After getting the degree ,one can go for other exams or can apply for jobs or to pursue higher degree in the field .

The fee structure of college depends on the course you opts .Yearly fees are collected by the college or fee can be payed semester wise.No such hikes are seen in course fees , genearlly it remains almost same all the three years.Hostel fee is separate from the course fee.Various scholarship is given by the campus to SC,ST caste students .Their course fee get back in their accounts after few days .Other rewards have also been given by college to the winners of competitions to help them financially .A single child scheme is also followed y the college .Campus also provides placement services to the appropriate candidates All the charges are collected in yearly fee and no other charges are demanded in between the course .

Annual cultural program is organised by the college and awards are presented to academic toppers and winners of competition held in that year.Different departments organise their separate competition only for department students such as rangoli competition,debate and speech competition .In library ,a variety of range of books are present and these are easily accessible to the students .The books are available on the student id cards and these have to be reissued after 10 days .ICT classrooms are provided for best interaction between teachers and students .Computer faciliries is also provided to maintain the technical knowledge .NCC and NSS activities are also provided to socially connect the students with society and to improve their sports stamina .Extracurricular activities are held such as dancing competition ,poster amking competition ,essay writing periodically .Special camps are organides for NCC and NSS students .Subject society are maintained so as to solve students queries.

The admission process is very simple and easy .The best part is ,teachers are very helping to the students seeking admission in the college .The eligibilty of the course is 12th pass and the application forms are available on the college website during a particular period of time .Application fee is around 500 and the cut-offs are different to various courses .Open counselling is done for those who missed the apllication form dates and wanted to take admission in the college .I itself enrolled in the open counselling .There is a chance to get admission in open counselling even if ,the cut-off criteria is not fulfilled.No such reservations are present ,any student can take admission in this college .Colleges are listed based on the marks of entrance exam held by GJU university .

The faculty members are well qualified .Teachers are always being there for students ,finding ways to increase the learning outside the classroom through interactive debate competition ,visit to fields and related locations to their streams like visit to LUVAS and HAU in science stream .Any doubt regarding career,syllabus is solved by teachers anytime .Teachers communication skills,patience provides a way to students to approach teachers freely .The campus itself provides smart ITC labs for interactive learning .Different lab equipped with best equipments are present .Music room is also provided to those who wish to learn music .Different career programs are organised by the faculty to guide students in their fields .Overall ,the best teachers are there for students .
